A/N: Okay, this is a one-shot from 'We go together right?' and '20 ways to annoy Lord Beckett'. It's not an update, but since Arrows The Wolf had a hard day at school, I thought: "Since I am here, sitting at my bump and having fun on my computer since it's holiday, I should make a one-shot with Jane and Beckett so those who had a bad day at work or school could light up a bit. Enjoy! I know, it's kind of small.

"BECKETT, SAVE ME!" A female voice rang through the halls of Cutler Beckett's castle. Beckett looked up from his paper work, leapt out of his chair and ran towards her room. He swore, if something happened to her, he would never forgive himself again. When he came to her door he grabbed the doorknob and didn't even hesitate to get inside.

"Jane! What is- OOF!" Before he could so something, Jane quickly had her arms around his neck, by reflexes he grabbed her legs and held her up.

"Beckett, save me from that monster!" She snuggled into his neck.

"Jane, what monster?" He asked her worriedly.

"THERE!" She pointed to her window. He slowly put her down and walked towards the window. He glanced back to her, seeing that she was shaking he kept going. The only thing he saw was a spider on the windowsill.

"Jane, I can't see-" He cut himself off as he realized what she had screamed about. He picked up the little spider and showed her it, "Is this your monster?"

Shrieking, she jumped on her bed and started breathing in and out heavily while hugging herself. Beckett laughed a little, twirling the spider around his hand, "It is nothing to be afraid of, Jane. It's just a tiny spider."

Her eyes turned teary until she couldn't hold it anymore, she started to cry.

His amusing look turned into a worried one. He threw the spider hard on the floor and sat on the edge of her bed, rubbing her back.

"Jane, what is it? Are you really that afraid?" He asked.

"It's just that…" She wiped off her tears, "While I was visiting in the future, I was like twelve, everyone saw me as the 'weird one'. One day at school some of the 'popular' kids had a box full with spiders and they threw them on my head. I'll always remember how like 100 spiders crawled all over my body. The worst thing was when I tried to get them off, it felt like it just came more. Since then I've always been afraid of spiders." She ended with a hard sob.

Not knowing what else to do, Beckett gave her a comfort hug. She gladly accepted it and started to cry less.

"Thanks for being my friend, Cutler." He heard her muffled voice say. Beckett was a little shocked, she has never called him by his first name.

"No problem, Jane." He hugged her more tight, "No problem."
