I love the rain. It's peaceful. It's calming. In a way, it's romantic. Rainy days are the best. My mind is clear whenever it rains. My fears and my lies melt away (1). Stress is taken off of my body and I can forget about everything. Well, not exactly everything. I have to remember to keep this umbrella up or else we'll get soaked, and nothing could ever make me forget about him. I glance down at my little brunet to find that he's already looking up at me. A tiny grin forms on his lips, making mine create a bigger one. He closes his sky blue eyes and leans on me. I wrap a hand around his waist.
"You look so calm, Riku. I've noticed you tend to be on these kind of days." He says softly with a hint of tiredness in his voice. We've had a long day. I took Sora to the best places around town for him to have fun. The movies, the skating rink, a bowling alley that was also restaurant, and now we're heading back to our apartment. He wanted to pay me back but I told him it wasn't necessary. I'd been saving up for this day. A day where we could just have the time of our lives and it was worth it. Seeing him fall several times when he was skating was funny. He'd hit me for laughing and pull me down to accompany him on the floor. I didn't mind and I kept laughing. We watched a scary movie before that and he clung to me like a koala. I couldn't believe he beat me at both of our bowling games. Losing felt good after seeing his smile. It got even better when he got sauce from his pizza on the side of his face. I licked it off and he got so flustered. I thought he looked simply adorable.
"Rainy days are the best. I need to make a list of things that we could do on them." I'd be sure to add all of the spots we visited earlier. The possibilities were endless. Except, you know, we couldn't go swimming or stuff like that but I know there was still so much we could do. Sora's silent for a while.
"A list...huh?" He says in a strange way. Does he not like the idea?
"Something wrong?" He looks up at me with a cheesy smile,
"Nope," he pops the 'p' sound, "just thinkin'."
Before I can even ask him I realize that we're already in front of the apartment building in which we reside. When we get up the stairs, I close the red umbrella in my hands and shake it off till most of the water's gone. I give Sora the key for the room. I want to stay out on the steps for just a moment before heading in. A pout forms on his lips.
"Okay, but hurry in, kay?"
I nod and turn around once he gets through the door. He lets it close by itself. I hear his footsteps as he walks down the hallway and up the first flight of stairs before the door shuts. It seemed to match in rhythm in the rain. Rain and Sora. My two loves. Of course, I love one more than the other. I breathe in deeply. The scent of wet asphalt hits my nose and enters my lungs. As the fragrance slightly intoxicates me, I wonder why so many people seem to hate the rain. It's water. Water brings life. No life equals no people. No people equals no me ever meeting Sora. And I thank the rain for coming. Speaking of Sora, I don't want to keep him waiting. I go inside the building and quickly make my way up two sets of stairs. I approach room 34C and knock softly. It's probably already unlocked but I just want Sora to come to the door. I'm surprised that I didn't here him but I watch as the brown door slowly opens and when that door opens fully I immediately feel a nosebleed coming on. Sora is standing there. In a. Maid. Costume. With...high heels on. A smirk slipped its way on his pretty face, probably from my jaw hitting the ground.
"Wh-where did you-" He places both of his hands on the sides of my face, and kisses me gently.
"Shh...,"he rests a finger on my lips, "You said you wanted to make a list right? A "To Do List"? Well, be sure to add 'Sora' on there."
