Hi Lea Here. This a story with an OC that I created. Her name is Chrysalis Acacia. Acacia means sharp thorn which can be interpreted as if it meant a back stabber. Sorry if you don't like the name but I like it. Also the timing is a bit off. Sorry if it offends anyone. Please read and review.

Prologue

"She's wonderful."

"I know… I can't keep her. My mother will be angry."

"Who cares about your mother?!"

"I do…"

"I know but…!" He gasped.

"What's wrong?!"

"He's here. Run. Take Chrys with you. He must not know she exists. I will be punished if he does."

Lightning flashed. In the bright light she could see his face.

His terrible face. Golden eyes staring out of black. They were hypnotic.

"Run!" He called, his voice already distant and cold, like it was when he was nervous or angry.

She ran, hard and fast, the babe weighing her down.

Suddenly black enveloped her. She drew back, and felt something being pulled from her grasp. The weight was gone.

"You have much god blood, young one. Join me and you will not die a horrible death."

"Never!" she declared. The blackness grew heavy and she was forced to her knees.

"Perhaps not. Hmmm… Join me and you can be reunited with your baby."

"N.. n..n..no I.. I.. I w.. w.. won't" she cried, silent tears coursing down her cheeks as the weight increased.

"So be it."

A squall of a baby reached her ears and she heard a thin whistling sound. Seconds later a loud thump was heard. A warm spatter of blood hit her across the face.

Across town the toiling of the church bells were heard.

A scream of agony, of rage, echoed through the forlorn streets of Byblos.

A lone being watches as silent figure creep quietly through the streets, a small bundle in his arms.

A young women, half-unconscious on the street, stares in shock at the broken remains of her child.

A goddess watches from above crying bitterly at the poor child's fate.

A thread of lightest gold was spun from the Fate's spindle. A beautiful thread tipped with the blackest of night.

All waiting. All are seeing and watching. Hope has gone.
