"Oh Shit! Don't do that." I waved off my best friend as he came barreling up behind me and grabbed me around the waist, right under where my purple running top ended.
"Well, why not?" Fox pouted playfully. I kissed his nose before I turned back forward. Fox looked affectionately down at me before resting his chin on my shoulder and grinning over at our other friend James. I smacked Fox's hands and he let me go, only to grab my hand in a soft grasp.
"You scared the shiznik out of me Fox. You know I hate it when people come up behind me. Especially while I'm on roller blades."
"I'm sorry Dana." Fox whispered, actually repentant. I laughed at his downcast expression. "I didn't mean to scare you."
"I guess I forgive you Fox. But on one condition." Fox pulled me into an embrace so that my front rested against his chest.
"What would that be Dana?" Fox asked coyly. I gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
"Kiss me." I laughed as James made a disgusted look.
"Shut up Jimmy. She's my woman and I love her." I laughed then Fox covered my mouth with his, making all thoughts disappear from my head. I love kissing Fox. It's true that we've only been on the kissing boat for about a month, but things seemed to be going well. My parent's, two usually completely uptight individuals, have surprisingly still allowed me and Fox to have sleepovers and spend time alone in my room even though we're dating. I guess it was the touching speech that Fox gave them when he asked my parents for their permission to date me. I believe it went something like "Mrs. Scully, Mr. Scully, I love Dana. I love her with all my heart. I'd like to ask you permission to date Dana." I'd nearly cracked up when my mother's jaw had dropped open.
"But Fox. I've assumed that you and Dana already were dating." My mom had stammered. Fox shook his head and I'd slipped up to his side. Fox wound his arm around my body, resting on my hip.
"It's fine with us Fox." My father smiled and shooed us off up to my bedroom.
"Dana, earth to Dana." Fox cooed softly into my ear as I came out of my trance. I raised my head from his shoulder and smiled at him.
"Come on. Are you going to keep me from my blading time, or are you going to join me?" I slipped out of Fox's grasp and sped off.
It's tradition for everyday in the summer, I go roller blading, until my two favorite people come and get me. We then head off to the pool for the rest of the day. I laughed as I saw Fox and James running after me. Fox ran up to me and twirled me into his arms. I laughed happily as he picked me up and carried me to the pool for a nice swim.
End.
