Just to fill u in, Toni is a character just like any one of you, unless you're a boy.  She has an older brother who she despises, a mom, and a dad.  If you would not like to read about the life of a 13-year-old girl, turn back.  Otherwise, I hope you enjoy.

"Toni, are you alive? Toni?"  I pulled the blankets over my head.  My mom pulls them back down.

"Yes mom, I'm still alive.  It's only…" I search around my room for the alarm clock.   "11:30.  Can't I sleep a little longer?"  Ever since I passed out last summer my mom has been way overprotective.

"No you cannot.  Your cousins are here.  You are their host."

"I didn't ask them to come," I say.  My cousins never come to our house.  They are always too busy having a life.

"Well I did," she says, with that voice that means business.

"I'll be down in, 10 minutes?"  I hold my breath.

"Don't hold your breath, " mom says.  I exhale.  "Try five minutes."  And with that said, she walks out the door.

"Don't bother closing the door!"  I yell back to her.  Who knows how long it would take those little aliens disguised as relatives to realize that my door was open and come parading in.  I just got a Nintendo 64 from my grandma, and it doesn't even look new after my cousins use it.

I search for my shorts under my piles of junk.  "Mom!  Have you seen my shorts?"

            "You're wearing them sweetheart"

I look down and sure enough.  They're right there covering my bum.  I guess I fell asleep with them on, trying to think of how I could avoid the aliens.  I opened my dresser drawer, covered my eyes, and grabbed whichever shirt I touched first.  That's my method of fashion over the summer.  I don't really have to try to look good since we're just isolated up on a hill and we never go anywhere anyway, because we don't have a life.  Most of my friends are busy or live too far away to walk to their hoses, so I can hardly go hang out with them.  Why don't I get a ride from my parents you ask?  Because they always say that they're busy, but that's impossible because they don't even have a life to be busy in.

I here a clash from the kitchen and that brings me back to earth.  I pull a brush through my hair and walk out the door, but no sooner do I exit my room, two of the aliens push past me and to my Nintendo.  "Don't break anything!"  I yell to them, but I know it was just a waist of breath.  I mean, how could they hear me.  They already started the first stage of vegetable, drooling.    I slowly walk down the stairs, savoring my last moments of freedom.  I think happy thoughts as I walk, slowly, to the depths of despair.

So how do u like it?  Please review.  This is pretty much the only story I'm proud of.  I'll try to make it more interesting as I go on, if I even go on.  So please review or I will be in misery for the rest of my lonely pitiful life.  Or, I will sick DG's flesh eating lamas on you.  I still haven't gotten my own yet.  (^^) (^^)
