'He said "Never mind" and left?'
Harley nods and looks down.
'Red, I have no idea why he acted like that. I mean, I did not say anything wrong, did I?'
Ivy can see tears in Harley's eyes and she feels that Harley's upset and sad. Ivy loved Harley with all her heart. After all Harley was her best friend but they both varied on some certain point. Ivy would always say the Joker is a dangerous madman, Harley would hit back he is a wonderful angel. Ivy would say the Joker could kill Harley without regret and Harley would hit back he'd have a reason to do it. Basically, Harley was a hopeless case and Ivy couldn't understand Harley's sympathy for the Joker at all but every attempt to convince her best friend of the clown's hypocrisy failed, consequently Ivy decided to play the caring friend.
'You surely didn't.' Ivy sighed.
'So, can ya tell me what's wrong with 'im? Ivy…I…I…'
Harley sobs and weeps.
'Shhh! Calm down. And then, tell me what happened. I'm sure we'll find an answer why he acted like…like an idiot.'
With tearful eyes Harley looks up and swallows.

' "God Bless America"! Haha, what an idiot.'
Two-Face had just left the Joker's hideout. They'd talked about some negative covenant, somewhat that should guarantee their mutually acceptance.
'Actually I like him. He's quite nice and…'
Harley couldn't finish her sentence because she suddenly felt a cold hand slapping in her face.
'What did you say?' Joker asked and watched her closely.
'I just said he's nice. I didn't mean…'
'Shut up! He's NOT NICE!'
Harley looked at him perplexedly. What the fuck was wrong? She saw that he was in rage and that he wasn't in a joking mood at all. She knew his serious moments, the moments he didn't smile and didn't laugh. These were moments she had to be aware of every step she took. But at this very moment, she couldn't follow her Puddin' at all. She didn't understand why he was in this angry mood, actually, the conversation with Two-Face had been a complete success given that Mistah J had convinced Harvey of giving the credit for the planned project containing the final elimination of Batman.
'Mistah J., what's the matter?'
'What the matter is? WHAT THE MATTER IS? What are you? Are you a two-faced henchwench as of recently?'
'What are you talking about?'
He gave a loud groan and turned around, then whispering: 'Never mind' and left.
-x-x-x-
Ivy bursts out laughing.
'What's so funny 'bout that?' Harley asks and looks at Ivy perplexedly.
'Did you consider …jealousy?'
'Jealousy?'
'Yeah, your Mister J. is just jealous. He's jealous of Harvey.'
Harley thinks about Ivy's presumption and with every second it seems more possible. And suddenly it takes a load off her mind.
'That means that he loves me more than anything else!' Harley says and hugs the redhead.
Ivy wants to answer to the hug but at this very second Harley's on the go home.
'Perhaps he's not home yet. I could cook him a dinner and …see you soon!' Harley waves Ivy goodbye and leaves.
Ivy shakes her head and starts to tidy away the used handkerchiefs and while doing so she strikes on an idea. She goes to the telephone and dials the number of the former district attorney. Actually, Ivy's not bitchy or perfidious but this time she can't refuse a bit fun. A dark, rough voice answers.
'Who's there?'
'Harvey, it's me Ivy. You won't believe it.
I thought it was a nice idea to expose the Joker to a little bit ridicule given that he is principally the one who makes sport of others. Actually, I really like the image of Ivy and Harvey having some fun on the telephone. I hope for some review.
