Sup yo! Alternative here and happy to post this collab fic between myself and Sinicerly MNM. This was written for the YJ fanfiction challenge forum. One of the challenges included a collab over this pompt: Boxes are not used for that. This is part one, for the rest go to Sinicerly MNM's profile.

Our favorite clone was walking the halls of Mount Justice, when he found the most peculiar object. It was large, square and had 'this side up' printed on the side. He stopped a few feet short of it, and stared at it with confusion.

What is it? The clone wondered, taking a cautious step forward. It didn't move, it just sat there in all its square likeness.

Superboy reached out a hand and poked it. When it didn't respond he decided it was safe to get closer. Stepping forward he gave it a quick look over, it had two large flaps on the top. He grabbed one, pulling it back slowly - it still wasn't to late for it to attack him.

The inside was full of small, white and round pieces of what looked like a squishy substance.

What are these things? Can you eat them? Superboy thought as he carefully picked one up and squeezed it between his meaty fingers. It felt like that yellow stuff M'gann made the other day. Maybe it smelt the same? He gave it a sniff. It didn't the smell same. Was it a variation of the yellow stuff?

He slowly stuck his tongue out and pressed it to the strange thing. It didn't taste like the yellow stuff. It tasted like, well it didn't really taste like anything. He carefully ripped it in half and licked the inside. It needed salt. He threw the pieces behind him, and grabbed a handful of new ones.

Maybe they tasted better when you ate a lot of them at once? He shoved a few of them in his mouth and chewed. He spit them out.

That was vile. He thought wiping any left over pieces off of his tongue. What do you do with these things? He put his arm in it, it was deep. He leaned back and examined it. In a way it remind him of his pod at Cadmus. He hated Cadmus and everything about it, but his pod. His pod was so comfy, secure and it had felt safe - not like these big, open beds that left him in vulnerable positions when he slept.

He slowly put his foot in but something hard was in it. What is that? He thought as he reached his hand in to feel around for the object. His hands closed around a think rectangular object and pulled it out.

A book. He read the title, "The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood" not seeing any real importance of it he tossed it aside. He reached back in the box to find that it was strangely the only thing in their other than the disgusting little white things.

He climbed in, and it was a tight fit but he was in. It was surprisingly comfortable, and cozy. The disgusting little white things made a great cushion. He got comfortable and reached up closing the flaps on the box, letting sleep take him.

To be continued….
