I don't own anything. This is my second fanfic I've written, so I'm still trying to find my feet.
Snow and Red walked back to the castle gates, bouquets of wildflowers and the other's hand held gently. "What could you possibly want to use ALL of these flowers for?" Red questioned, casting the princess a curious glance. The look quickly turned to a teasing one. "Do you plan to stand on your balcony and throw them to your multitudes of suitors?"
"No!" Snow gently hit Red's arm. Smiling, she answered softly, "I plan to fill my room with them to remind me of our adventure today. And when my true love comes to visit me," she turned Red to look into her eyes," I shall give her a flower."
Red glanced down at the flowers they were holding: daisies for loyalty, tulips for strength, roses for passion. "Who could possibly deserve such flowers as these from you?" she whispered, raising her eyes to meet Snow's.
"The only person worthy of gathering them with me." Red threw her arms around Snow, flowers long forgotten, as the princess captured Red's lips with her own. Pulling each other closer and deepening the kiss, they were drowning in oblivion until they had to come up for air. Stroking her lover's now kiss-bruised lips with her fingertip, Snow said, "You'll come tonight?"
"But of course, love." Came the reply. Cupping Snow's face with her hand a minute, Red left the secluded shelter of the castle wall to return to her house in the village.
Little did she know, the princess was not the only one watching her; far above, in a tower window, the king also saw the attractive figure. Calling a guard over, he demanded that the girl be brought to him and their engagement announced to everyone. Dissmissing the man, he thought of how the girl would be a beautiful replacement for Snow's mother, and turned to go tell his daughter the news.
