Chronoangel: Hello. This is a fic about Serena and Rini, who will do my disclaimer.
Serena: Chronoangel doesn't own Sailor Moon. If she did she wouldn't be posting this.
Rini: So please don't sure her.
Chronoangel: Read and review.
It was eleven thirty and I was finally getting ready for bed. I put on my pajamas and laid down with Luna.
"Good night, Luna," I muttered curling up with her.
I heard a loud scream coming from across the hall. I stumbled out of bed and hurried across the hall, worried about Rini.
"Mama, don't worry I've got her," I called going into the room. I flipped the light switch and saw Rini tossing, turning, and whimpering. I dashed across the room and shook my future daughter awake.
"Rini, wake up. It's just a nightmare," I urged her. "Mama's here, Rini. Come on now, sweetheart, wake up."
Rini slowly opened her ruby eyes and looked up at me. I pulled my young daughter into my lap and gently rocked her. She buried her head into my chest and cried.
"Rini, do you want to tell me about it?" I asked softly. She shook her head quickly and gripped me tightly. I stood up, went to the kitchen, sat Rini down in a chair, and heated up some milk for her.
"Come on, Rini; you can sleep in my room for the rest of the night," I told her taking her hand and leading her to my room.
"Serena," she whimpered clinging tightly to my hand.
I leaned back onto my bed and pulled Rini into my lap and begin to sing a song that I made up on the spot:
Hush my child, close your eyes,
Let your dreams fade away,
Don't fear the dark,
Because your mama's here to watch over you,
And daddy's also close by,
Close those eyes and sleep my child.
"Good night, mama," Rini mumbled half-asleep.
I carefully placed her on the bed and curled up with her. My cell phone rang and I grabbed it before it could wake rini up.
"Hello," I whispered.
"Hi, Serena, what are you doing?" Darien asked.
"Getting ready to go back to sleep with Rini."
"Why's Rini in your room? I thought you didn't like her in there."
"She had a nightmare," I confessed. "And as her future mother, I feel like she's already my responsibility. . . I love her, Darien."
"you're maturing, Serena, but have you told her?" he asked.
"No, I'm scared that she doesn't like me as a teenager," I admitted softly.
"Just tell her. I tell her all the time," he assured me.
"All right, I'll tell her in the morning," I agreed stroking her pink hair.
"Good night, Serena. I love you."
"Night, Darien. I love you too," I said hanging up the phone.
"I don't know if you know this Rini," I began still stroking her hair. "But I love you." I leaned down and kissed her forehead.
"I love you too, mama," she said.
"Let's get some sleep, sweetheart," I told her getting comfortable as my heart swelled with happiness.
