A/N: .. My brother and I were high on sugar (three cups of grape soda will do that to you) when we came up with this. Needless to say, it is a combination of our randomness and my terrible knack for puns. Read, review, and learn a lesson from this – grape soda does strange things to your mind.
Disclaimer: No, I don't own Fire Emblem, Wil, Araphen (thank goodness) or Caelin.

The rumors of war had turned into more than mere rumors. House Araphen had turned against the Lycian Council, turning its fury against House Caelin.
Now, it was most important for the armies to be gathered quickly. Runners were dispatched to summon all fighting-age men to Castle Caelin.
Days passed with amazing speed, and more warriors were added to the ranks every day. Finally, as the enemy drew near, the soldiers were dispatched to the borders to meet the Araphen army.
Wil, leader of the Caelin archer division, positioned his men carefully and eyed the approaching army with apprehension. Every archer in his force was handpicked. He knew them by name, and they knew his. They obeyed his orders to the last detail – just as they should, he thought with a hint of pride.
The enemy was drawing closer and closer, and he knew that within seconds they would be within range. He notched an arrow to his bow, watching as the others did the same.
Three… two… one. He pulled the arrow to its full length and took aim, then shouted, "Fire at will, men!" and loosed his shaft.
The confused silence behind him made him turn around.
Wil's eyes widened, and he took off running as – obeying his orders almost to the letter – several dozen arrows were instantly fired in his direction.

A/N: No, we don't know what happened in the war between Houses Caelin and Araphen… so don't ask.
