That's Rose Tyler, the Doctor smiled fondly with a stroke of his finger. That's my Rose Tyler alright.

"Doctor?"

The Doctor picked his gaze up as he saw his companion running down and spilling out the mouth of the corridor. She gave him a curious inspection as he hid something behind his back, swaying on the balls of his feet guilelessly.

"Are we off then?"

The Doctor blinked then answered readily, "Oh! Yes, yes, right, yes, of course," he pressed his heels into the metal grating of the TARDIS flooring, a comforting grille against the heel of his white trainers. "I'll be out in just a minute, Martha, don't worry, it's safe out there," he waved her off with a smile.

Grinning she broke past him in a light jog, eager to see wait new adventure awaited her. As the door closed shut behind her, the Doctor retrieved his concealed item.

I'll talk to you later tonight. Bye, Rose. He whispered down the chain link, closing the locket he beheld with a snap of the clasp.
