It was not fate, or some romantic act that ended his life. It was vanity. Kuronue was vain enough to think he could do it and he couldn't. He turned back for the pendant knowing he would be able to grab it and run. The heist was easy. This was easy.

But it wasn't.

Death, now that was easy.
