Throughout the years following the defeat of Lord Voldemort, Harry and Dudley had slowly formed a friendship. Dudley never forgot how Harry had saved his life when he was fifteen and he strived every day to show Harry that he was no longer a bully.

Dudley had got himself a job as a project manager with a construction company; much to his father's displeasure. It was at his desk late one night that he received a letter from his cousin, after two years of exchanging letters with Harry he was used to Owl Post. The screech owl sat patiently waiting for his reply as Dudley read over the letter once more.

Dear Dudley,

I hope everything is going well at work. Ginny and I would love to sit and have lunch with you sometime this week. I remember you talking about a friend; I believe her name is Katie? If you would like to bring her with you that wouldn't be a problem. I hope to hear from you soon.

Harry

Dudley was not opposed to having lunch with his cousin; the only thing that worried him was bringing Katie with him. They were no longer just friends; they had officially started dating a month ago. Harry and Ginny usually talked about all sorts of things when they were around Dudley. Just the other day they had told him about how James, only a couple months old, had somehow dyed his sheets bright gold. Dudley wasn't sure if his cousin could talk about normal things in front of his normal girlfriend. He sent a reply to Harry saying that tomorrow at one would be fine. They would meet at a little diner called Tony's.

The next day Dudley picked Katie up for lunch, she was excited that she was finally going to meet his cousin; Dudley was nervous. As they walked up the path to Tony's Dudley grew more and more panicked; Katie chatted at his side about work and life in general. Dudley held the door open for her and as they walked in; he looked around for his cousin. He spotted the back of Harry's head in a booth and recognized Ginny's red hair next to him. He led Katie toward them, hoping that everything would turn out alright.

"Harry, Ginny, this is my girlfriend, Katie."

"Katie, this is my cousin Harry and his wife Ginny."

Dudley sped through the introductions, giving names and that was it. No extra titles like "Savior of the Wizarding World."

Harry, Ginny, and Katie were all gaping at each other like fish while Dudley looked in between them puzzled.

Katie and Ginny giggled while Harry shook his head.

"What did I miss?" Dudley was very confused.

"Honey," Katie touched his arm, "I wasn't sure how I was going to tell you this but now I see it won't be that big of a shock. I didn't realize your cousin was Harry Potter. I went to school with him; and Ginny."

"School? You mean…You're a witch?"

Katie nodded.

"Oh well…that's great. I mean, I don't mind."

"You don't?" Katie looked scared, and Dudley could tell she really didn't want their relationship to end.

"No, I don't," Dudley took her hand and kissed her gently. "I love you Katie Bell."
