'Do you trust me?' Another whistle sounded through the room and another crack. Red blossomed on alabaster skin.

'Yes!' a shriek.

'How much?' A whistle, a crack, a blossom.

'With everything! I swear! I won't say it again!' Blond hair flying across a tear-stained face.

A hand trailed across bruised skin. 'How can I trust you?'

A whimper.

A whistle, a crack, a bruise.

'I believe I just asked you a question.'

'I swear I'll never say it again, Master.' A bright head bowed.

A smile, cruel and fleeting. A whistle, a crack, a bruise. A release.

A body tumbles to the ground landing in a shaking heap.

Another covers it with its own, crooning, 'There's a good pet.'

A nod and a sob. The other wraps itself around the broken body and rocks it gently.

'I'm sorry,' a whisper, 'but I had to punish you. I didn't want to. Do you understand?'

Another nod.

'Do you trust me?'

'Yes!' a desperate plea. 'Yes.' Softer now.

'I believe you.' A sweet melody.

A sigh.
