Just months before the Time War began, though no one was aware of that, Hunter stood in a square in the domed time lord city. He was fresh out of teaching, wanting to get away. His parents entered the square. Somewhere in his hearts he loved them; of course he did, but right now he only wanted his freedom.

People bustled around him, even a few other species visiting and minding their own business. Magnificent crazy buildings stood around them. His mother approached him and glanced around searching for something only Hunter knew where it was. His TARDIS.

She met his eyes and unintentionally the corner of his lip crawled up. It was sitting in the square corner. He had finished his tests- only barely passing- and had taken his parents out for a joyride. It was disguised as a park bench. As soon as he sat on it he would disappear, not literally, just into the dimensionally transcendental inside. Hunter took a deep breath and looked at his mother. Hopefully he would have enough strength to leave this planet forever. He smiled at her, not knowing if he would see her again- at least not for sure- and went to sit on the park bench.
