Family Reunion
It's true; the Weasley's and Potter's, where a tight knitted bunch. They saw each other literally almost everyday and they were fine with it, they loved it!
"Hermione," Ron shouted at his wife, "we have to go. We'll be late for meeting the Potter's. Rose and Hugo are already ready to go meet Albus, James, and Lily! Let's go!" Rose tugged on Ron's arm impatiently. "Come on, I have been exchanging owls with Lily and she's really excited to see us, but we have to go! She's going to tell me all about Hogwarts, since she just finished her first year! Daddy, when do I go to Hogwarts?" Rose whined.
Ron rolled his eyes. They have had this conversation so many countless times before, ever since Lily Luna Potter, Ginny and Harry's youngest, got her letter to Hogwarts. "Your not old enough yet, but soon." Ron told her. Then, Hugo tugged on his other arm. "And I have been talking with James and Albus as well! They are also excited to see us, but we have to go. Tell mommy to get over here!" Hugo groaned.
"Now Hugo, is that anyway to talk like that? Where did you pick up that such rubbish, certainly not me!" Hermione said coming downstairs. Hugo shuffled his feets. "James, Albus, and I heard about it yesterday. A man and women where talking like that." Hugo explained. Hermione sighed, "Those two boys are exactly like Harry and you when we where in school. Always getting in trouble and always sticking your noses in other people's business." she told Ron. He just shrugged.
"Okay, let's go meet Uncle Harry, Aunt Ginny, and your cousin!" Ron exclaimed. The four all flooed into a wizard coffee shop and walked around the corner to a nearby park to see, Albus and James playfully dueling, with Harry as a referee, and Lily and Ginny practicing some spells. Rose tugged on Ron's sleeve again.
"Daddy, when do I get a wand? I want a wand like Lily's!" she said. Ron shook his head, "You aren't old enough yet. It's a lot of responsibility to have a wand. The Potter's got their wands when they went to Hogwarts and so will you when the time comes." Rose crossed her arms and pouted.
Hugo stared at Albus and James in amazment as they swung their spells and curses at one another. "Mom, can I go do that too?"
Hermione quickly shook her head. "Absolutely not! It's too dangerous and you don't have a wand. Albus and James are more experienced in spells then you are! You are forbidden to interfere with them. You can watch next to Uncle Harry!" she replied firmly. Hugo pouted next to Rose.
When they came in sights, Harry waved to their spot and told something to Albus and James and they stopped dueling and turned to Hugo. "Hi, Hugo! What's up little man?" Albus asked racing over to them, James and Lily at his heels. Lily ran to Rose and gave her a quick hug before they wlkedw over to a bench and started to chat away. Albus and James stayed by Hugo and talked with him about spells and curses they leaned at school. Hermione decided to stay with them to make sure all was appropriate. Ron, Harry, and Ginny walked over to the bench next to Rose and Lily's, and sat down to catch up on thing.
"James loves it there at Hogwarts. His favorite class he said was charms or transfigurations. Though, he wishes he had Albus in his house with him, but he likes having Lily there. He likes to be the protector from boys for her." Harry laughted. Ron snorted. "Sounds kind of familiar," Ginny said, glowering at Ron. Ron just rolled his eyes.
Harry put his arm around his wife's shoulder and pulled her closer to him.
"Hugo's been pretty mad about not being able to go to Hogwarts with them. So is Rose, she wants to be with Lily and gets really sad when Lily was at school this year. How does Lily like it there?" Ron asked. "She loves it there. She made friends with Luna and Scamander's kid, Elyse Scamander. Nice fellow, had her over a few times over the break. Her favorite is charms." Ginny explained to Ron, who nodded.
Hermione walked over and plobbed down next to Ron, who put his arm around her and pulled her closer to him, like what Harry did to Ginny.
"Hugo found a stick that he is pretending to be his wand and is fake dueling with James and Albus." Hermione told them. Haryyt and Ginny straightened a bit, a nervous look on there faces. Hermione noticed and waved it off. "They're fine, they aren't using real spells." Harry and Ginny calmed down and sunk back onto the bench.
Rose and Lily walked up to them, hand in hand. "Yes, Lily?" Ginny asked, curious to see what would happen next. Rose was almost jumping up and down as Lily asked, "Can we go shopping in Diagon Alley?"
Harry and Ginny looked fine about it but Hermione checked her watch. "Maybe tommorow, today we have to go meet Grams and Gramps at the Burrow. We are having lunch their with some of your uncles." Hermione told them. "Right!" Harry said, "sorry, Lily. Tomorrow maybe you, Elyse, and Rose can go altogether." Lily just shrugged. "Let's go startled James and Albus!" Lily exclaimed to Rose who nodded in response.
The four parents watched cautiously, waiting for the time to come and prye then off of each other. Lily rushed over and jumped on Albus's back unexpectedly, causing him to drop his wand and stumbled around. Then Rose did the same, but on James's back, who also dropped his wand and stumbled around. "Lily, get off. You weigh more than 1,000 galleons combined!" Albus strained, wobbling around.
Lily frowned at him, "That's hurtful, Albus! I'm telling Mum, but first I'm also staying on longer!" James however was running circles around his brother and sister, with tiny Rose on his back, as Hugo chased them casting fake spells with his fake wand at them. The four friends watching their kids, couldn't help but laugh at it. "Lily," Albus groaned, "get off you bugger!" Lily pretended not to hear him and continued to stay on for a piggyback ride.
Harry just laughed again. "This is our house pretty much everyday."
Ginny smiled at her kids as they teased and played with each to her and Rose and Hugo. Ron smiled. And Hermione checked her watch. "It's time to go to the Burrow for dinner." she told them. "Okay," Harry replied looking at his kids. "James, Albus, and Lily! It's time to go to the Burrow for dinner. Take Hugo and Rose too!" Harry called to them. They all came rushing over and Lily hopped off Albu's back and then James helped Rose get off his. "Mum, Dad," Lily whined, "Albus said I weighted more than 1,000 galleons combined!"
Albus glared at her. "Tattle-tale!" he hissed at her. Lily glared at him and stuck her tongue out.
Ron had to hold on a laugh, because when Ginny was younger, she would act just like Lily was now. Whenever something bad happened, Ginny would tell. Like the time Fred and George where caught stuffing each other's faces with mud out in the yard or when Bill and Charlie got caught eating all the food for the Thanksgiving feast. Boy was Molly mad when Ginny told her that!
Bill and Charlie weren't allowed out of the house for the rest of the summer until they got to Hogerts or special occasions! And they had to recook everything. That was the year we had to split 4 sloppy peanut butter and jelly sandwich, the only good thing they couldcould at the time, over 40 people. It was a disaster!
Ginny hung her mouth open at Albus and Harry frowned. Albus looked at his feet and shuffled his feet around. "Albus Severus Potter! That's no way to talk to a girl like that! Apologize to Lily, now!" Ginny stated firmly. "Sorry," he muttered out of the corner we of the corner of his mouth. Lily suck her tongue out at him again and he gladly returned the gesture.
Harry sighed.
"Alright come on hold hands, we are all apparating together. Let's go." Harry said with a smile to them all. Hugo grabbed Ron's hand, who grabbed Hermione's hand, who grabbed Ginny's hand, who had Harry's, who grabbed James's hand, who had Albus's hand, who had Lily's hand, who had Rose's hand, who grabbed Hugo's hand.
"Alright, everyone ready?" Harry asked. They all nodded exccep for James and Albus.
"Albus, we left our wands over there, where the girls jumped us." as he broke the circle and ran for his wand. Albus followed a few feet behind him. When they grabbed their wand, they rejoined the circle and Harry apparated them to the Burrow.
Molly Weasley was standing next to the spot where they apparated. Her arms where out stretched before her. "My grandkids!" she shouted. "Grams!" Albus, James, Lily, Rose, and Hugo, all shouted tackling in for a hug. Molly Weasley gave them a big hug. "Oh, Albus James, you look just like Harry! And little Lily, your growing to look just like your mother! You all grew so big!" Molly gushed.
When she finally let go, they all ran to the yard to play with their uncles, with Ron, Hermione, Harry, Ginny, and Molly following behind. As they neared the Burrow, a couple of firecrackers went off and a few small explosion was heard. Ginny and Harry raced to find out which on of their kids did it, knowing them, and Hermione and Ron went to find out what happened.
Apparently, Fred and George, gave James, Albus, and Lily a box of explosives and firecrackers. James tried to us a spell he learned at school to light one and accidentally lit all of them and they all went off.
After that mess was sorted and Albus could no longer use his wand tonight, they all say around a big table. Aruthur Weasley was at the end and Fleur, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Molly, Harry, Ginny, Albus, James, Lily, Ron, Hermione, Lily, and Hugo, all sat around a big table in the yard or the Burrow. Molly stood up.
"Dinner is served!" she shouted and waved her wand. A feast appeared before them.
Their laughter filled the night sky above them! The kids played in the yard and there wasn't a single problem, unless they counted the firecracker explosion but over than that, it was a bump free road from here on out.
The crew started to take their leave one at a time. Ron grabbed Hugo and Rose's hand and Hermione also grabbed Hugo's hand, and together, with one last look at all five Potter's smiling at them, they apparated out home.
