Little doll (rhyme)

Little doll (rhyme)

I had a little doll the prettiest

Ever seen

She washed the dishes and

Kept my house clean

She went to the mill to fetch

Me some flour

And always came home in less

Than an hour

She baked my bread and

Brewed my ale

She sat by the fire and told me

A tale

I had a little doll the smartest

Ever seen

She solved all my problems and

Wrote my essays

She played me the guitar while

Humming her tunes

She never got tired but

Went on and on

She sewed my dresses and

Combed my hair

She sat by the fire and continued

The tale

I had a little doll the saddest

Ever seen

She cried on my shoulder and

Wept on my lap

Always kept sobbing for more

Than an hour…

Then she took un a knife wrote his name

On her flesh

And both tears and blood fell

Onto my lap

She sat by the fire and looked

At the flames

She wiped out her tears to finish

Her tale

When she whispered "the end" had no

Life in her veins
