"Meat…...Meat…...Meat….Meat…..More…..More…..Meat…Flesh…...Flesh…..Give me more flesh!" In a dark alleyway, lies a man eating of what appeared to be a male human.

"Well, this is something new. Care to tell me what the hell you're doing out here?" A figure came from out of the blue, in the man's eyes. He couldn't tell what the man looked like, but he knew that something was different from the rest of the humans.

"Delicious…..You smell delicious!" The man creepily stood up from his crouched position. Drool started to come from his mouth as his irises became red and the rest of eyes became black with veins.

"Ew, you remind me of some mad dog I know. But if you're not getting give me answers peacefully, then I might as well use some force." The unknown figure brought out a huge sword, as he prepared himself.

"Give me your flesh!" The man started to rush at the unknown in attempt to kill him, but his series of slashes only striked the air, as the unknown easily dodged them.

"You made me do this, so don't complain after what happens next." The unknown had brought his sword into a upward slash, launching the man into the air.

"Gah! Need more flesh! Need more flesh!" The man was regenerating from his wound, but that was interrupted as he was sliced again.

"Gah! Wh-What do you want from me!?" Not bearing the pain that the man was feeling, he had gotten terrified at the fact that he could be killed.

"Tell me this, what the hell are you?" The unknown asked him.

"D-Do you seriously not know what we are?" The man stuttered.

"No dickhead, that's why I'm asking ya." The unknown brought his sword to the man's neck.

"Okay! I'm a ghoul! I'm a ghoul!" The man quickly answered him.

"Ghoul? What the hell is that?" The unknown asked him as this was his first time hearing this.

"Ghoul! We feed on the flesh! We need flesh to live! P-Please spare me!" The man could only beg for his life as he was scared of the man in front of him.

"Hm, so that's why you've been eating people. Makes sense." The unknown narrowed his eyes to the corpse that was already been half eaten.

"S-So you'll let me go?" The man asked him, as he hoped that he would be spared.

"...I should kill you where you stand." The unknown man moved his sword into the man's neck, piercing his neck a bit.

"...But that'll make me no different than you." The unknown moved his sword from the man's throat. The man sighed in relief as he was happy that he was alive. But the unknown's eyes, started to gleam. His red and green eye.

"However, if I ever see you again feeding on another person's flesh…..I'll make that I'll finish the job." Saying that, the man began to leave from the alleyway, putting his sword on his back buckle.

"W-Wait!" The man drew the unknown's attention again.

"Hm?"

"Wh-What is your name?" The man asked him. He had to know. He had to let the others know about this random man.

"...Bloodedge… The name's Bloodedge." The unknown ran away from the alleyway, as he heard sirens starting to approach the area.

"Bloodedge huh? I'll be looking forward to feed on your delicious flesh." Someone, on top of the building of the alleyway, had seen the entire scene fold out. But the only thing that could be made out of figure, was her bright purple hair, swaying with the cold dark air.

Kaneki Ken was a shy type of girl. She had long black hair reaching to her shoulders, with dull-like green eyes. She mostly spent her time reading her book alone. Even if she was having class, lunch, or break. She was always reading. But her alone time was soon to be interrupted.

"Ka-ne-ki!" A voice shouted. Hearing her voice called from a familiar face, she turned around to see her best friend, Hideyoshi running towards her.

"Hideyoshi?" Hideyoshi Nagachika was her best friend. Besides the fact that she was really hyperactive, she was still her best friend. From all of the other people that stood idle, and never talked to her, Hideyoshi was always there for her.

"Kaneki! Let's grab a cup of coffee after school!" Hideyoshi said, as she scratched the back of her orange hair.

"Mm, okay sure. I'll see you after school at the gate." Kaneki said, closing her book. Kaneki always liked to hang around Hideyoshi, she would always feel normal when she was around.

"Okay! See you there!" Hideyoshi left Kaneki, as she ran towards her next class. But now that Kaneki remembered, she had to hurry to her next class as well.

(After School)

Arriving at the cafe, Kaneki and Hideyoshi had ordered their coffee from a dark purple haired waitress.

"So Kaneki, have ya been interested into some guys?" Hideyoshi asked as she put up a smirk. Kaneki only showed a slight blush as the question came out of random.

"N-No I don't." She said quietly. Hideyoshi had been with Kaneki with many years, if anyone could tell that she was interested into someone, it would her.

"Oh? Is that so? Hm, guess I've been thinking wrong the whole time then." Hideyoshi said, faking her sadness. This had taken Kaneki's attention.

"W-Wait, what do you mean by that?" Kaneki said as she had no clue as to what Hideyoshi was talking about.

"Oh don't pull this off Kaneki. I know you've been watching that guy who comes around the school from time to time." Kaneki could only blush a bit more, as she knew what she was talking about.

"That man with white spiky hair, and a red trench coat. I know you've been watching him everyday. Aw, so cute! Kaneki has a crush!" Having enough of the embarrassment, Kaneki had enough of teasing.

"I DON'T HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM!" Kaneki said, getting everyone's attention in the cafe. From the surprised eyes of her sudden outburst, Kaneki quickly apologized.

"Jeez, you don't have to yell. You don't have to tell the world about your future husband." Hideyoshi said teasingly.

"Hi-de-yo-shi!" Kaneki's face became more red, based on embarrassment, and anger. Hideyoshi quickly, as she didn't want an angry Kaneki.

Seconds had passed as the coffee that they had ordered had arrived. It was peaceful for them to start having their conversations that they always had. But when the door bell had rung, Kaneki had seen a unfamiliar come inside the building.

The woman's bright purple hair had captured Kaneki's attention. Aside from that, the glasses that she wore and the dress she was wearing, Kaneki could only say one thing-

"Pretty." Hideyoshi turned around to see what she was talking about, but when she saw her, Hideyoshi had teased Kaneki about not trying to cheat with her to-be boyfriend. This only gained the response of Kaneki showing a dark aura around her body, which terrified Hideyoshi.

Night time arrived, as the two best friends separated. Kaneki went to follow her path she always followed, as she had always did. But what had gotten her attention, was the sudden scream heard from a fork that she walked to. She usually went the left way, but the scream came from the right path.

"Wh-What should I do? Someone needs help but, what can I do? I should probably call the cops." But as Kaneki had begin to take out her phone, a long tentacle had gotten a hold of her leg, and brought her towards the right path.

"Gah!" After being thrown from being dragged on the floor, Kaneki had taken damage on her back, as she hit a pole.

"You have a weird smell to you. It doesn't matter though, I will just simply kill you and eat out you flesh!" A feminine voice said. Aside from coughing out blood from the impact of the pole, Kaneki was able to see the face of the female. It was the woman from the cafe. But she was different. She still had her similar features, but the one that freaked Kaneki out the most, was her red eyes.

"Y-You're a ghoul." Kaneki said as she was terrified. The purple haired woman only laughed as she sees that Kaneki was scared.

"Poor, poor girl. You should've just left when you heard that scream. You humans are so hilarious." The purple haired girl kept laughing.

"Wh-What do you-" Kaneki had been interrupted, as she was being choked by the woman in a sudden instant.

"What do I want? Are you stupid? I want to eat you!" The purple haired woman made the grip on her neck tighter, as Kaneki was only on the verge of death.

Please…...Someone…...Save…...Me. As there was no hope for Kaneki, she silently prayed to herself, for someone to save her until-

"Gah!" The purple haired woman yelled out in pain as a tentacle on her back was cut off. Seeing that the grip around her neck was loosened, Kaneki had only done something based on her pure instinct-

Kaneki bit the purple haired woman's arm.

"Aggh!" The purple haired woman had tried to shake Kaneki off of her arm, but Kaneki's teeth were far into the woman's flesh.

"Get the hell off of me!" The woman had kicked Kaneki off of her arm, as she been surprised that she had bit her. Having no more strength with her body, she was slowly slipping into unconsciousness. But before she had passed out, she smelled something very delicious. She opened her eyes, only to see a white spiky haired man in front of her. But she couldn't tell his face. Her vision had become very blurry

'Handsome' Kaneki thought to herself, as she slipped into unconsciousness.

"She's alive, that's good." The spiky haired man said. The man had picked up the girl that he had saved in his arms.

"Ah! You're the delicious one from that time!" The purple haired woman was excited noticing had cutted off a part of her. It didn't matter to her, as she was able to regenerate the loss limb.

"Your scent, it's so good! I just want to have a piece, no all of you inside me! What is your name? Tell me your name!" The woman had become a little more crazier, as she grew out more tentacles from her back.

"Ew, is that how most ghouls work? You're about to make me lose my appetite. But since you asked nicely, I'll tell you." The spiky haired man said.

"It's Bloodedge, now don't you forget it." As it seemed coincidental, straps holding many steel bars, had snapped and fell between them both.

"N-No you're not getting away!" The purple haired woman, with the use of her tentacles, had jumped over the bars, only to see that the man had ran away.

"Bloodedge, I will remember that name. I will never forget a scent so enchanting as yours. So be prepared, because I will never lose my prey." She said while licking her lips.

Kaneki had woken up with a slight headache. As much as she wanted to forget about the events from last night, she couldn't get rid of it. But the important thing was to figure out where she was. She was in a unfamiliar bed and she had gotten afraid that she was kidnapped. But before she had panicked, she heard a knock on the door.

*knock* *knock* Oi, are you up?" A man's voice asked. Kaneki couldn't tell who it was, but she had to know where she was.

"U-Um, yes." Kaneki responded shyly. The door opened, only for the man from last night to appear through the door. Kaneki's face grew a little red as she didn't want to look at him in the eye.

"So are you okay? I know last night was too much, but I'm glad you didn't get killed." The spiky haired man said to her. Kaneki's blush grew as she heard his words. It was like from romance story that she had read.

"I-I'm fine. Wh-Where am I?" Kaneki asked, as she turned to look at him in the eye. His green and red eye had gotten her to keep staring at him.

"You're in Anteiku Cafe. This was the closest place to go, so I had to bring you here. The staff was nice enough to keep you here for the night. O-Oi! Are you listening?" The man could easily see that she wasn't paying attention. Even though she was looking at him in the eyes, she felt a bit off than she was before.

'He smells good. Very, Very good. I just want a little-' Kaneki had snapped out of her trance, as she realized the position she was in. Her petite body, had moved on it's own and went to the man who was sitting close to the bed. As their faces were very close, his face was in shock as he realized that she was suddenly in his face in a split second.

"Gah! I-I'm sorry!" Kaneki's face was very bright as she moved back to her bed. Kaneki didn't know what came of her, but she ignored the feeling.

"I-It's okay, but like I said, you're in Anteiku. You was sleeping here all night. So you can thank the staff." The man said as he shook his surprise off his shoulders.

"U-Um, can I have your name?" Kaneki asked shyly.

"It's Bloodedge." Bloodedge responded. Kaneki only smiled as she knew the name of her savior, it was Bloodedge.

"Thank you, thank you for saving my life Mr. Bloodedge." Kaneki said

"You don't have to be so formal. Just Bloodedge is fine. Bloodedge said

"O-Okay, thank you Bloodedge, thank you for saving my life." Kaneki repeated again, as she dropped the formalities.

"You don't have to thank me. I was just doing the right thing." He said, scratching the back of his head. Minutes had passed for the two of them. Kaneki wanted to know more about him, he seemed so mysterious and she wanted to know about this man. But before she brought up a question, the door opened once again to reveal a staff of the cafe.

"Greetings, my name is Yoshimura. We have much to discuss, regarding the both of you."

Thanks for reading the first chapter of this new story. If some remember me, I can only apologize for being inactive for so long. I know one will ask if I would continue previous stories, and my answer to that is….I will, but at a later time. It's not that I don't care about it, it's just that I need a little more time to plan some things. Thank you for understanding.
