The night after
As he was heading back to the home he and his brother had been placed, Ian's body moved only automatically, every muscle was cold, itchy, his stomach felt like it was just going to burst out of his mouth but he was expressionless, he felt nothing but the numbness alter the storm he just went through. After seeing the boy he loved so damaged under the body of a strange woman "humping the gay out of him". Like that was even possible. Ian could only think about the man behind all of this, and how much he wanted to make him pay for what he did to his child. After all, Mickey was that man's son, and he should know better than to be so cruel to his own blood, of course that would only be in a different world, not in the world they were living. He couldn't even believe he was still alive. "How could anyone-…" Ian's mind stopped, going once again blank as he sneaked into the house where his brother and over 20 delinquent foster kids lay. Everything was so quiet around him, it was torture. Funny to think about this much quiet and calmness as torture after the hell he went through, but it was.
As minutes passed as slowly as they could, Ian only wanted to shut his brain down, he wanted to forget the look on Mickey's eyes sitting on that couch with that woman on top of him and his father a couple feet away. Ian couldn't blame Mickey for what he did, taking control of the situation like he did. Ian bit his lip in rage and closed his eyes but it only made it worse because he was starting to feel again.
...
"RISE AND SHINE BOYS" heard Ian from a distance under his swallowed eyes. "Is it already daylight?" he thought, he didn't even realized he fell asleep, he thought he would have been able to do that after-… "Where were you last night?" said Lip with a cigarette hanging from between his lips above Ian as he tried to get up. Lip looked at his brother and noticed the big bruise on his face. "Shit" he mumbled as he took the already lit ciggy off his mouth and threw the smoke into the air. Ian only shook the thoughts away, and with all the energy he had left he tried to shake Lip's concern away by pretending everything was okay. He was so tired, but how could Ian tell anything at all without explaining the whole story to Lip? He was way too exhausted for that and it would only make it more real than it was now. It pained Ian, to try to curled up his cold wounded lips into a smile for display "Picked a fight with some assholes down at the store." He said because it was the only thing he could think of while his mind showed him the real story. His hand reached for his ribs and he cursed under his breath "Couldn't find my way back" said Ian looking at his feet and trying to sit up straight as the other Gallagher sat beside him smoking and scratching his eye with his thumb, Ian was starting to sense Lip's gaze on him. "How'd it go with Mandy?" said Ian as he started moving like he normally would around his brother to keep up the good acting, but it was even harder to do it while talking about Mickey's sister.
