Albus Severus Potter believed in love at first sight.
It'd happened to so many people he'd known, so how could it not possibly exist? He'd even been blessed with the opportunity himself- or cursed. But nevertheless it had happened, and from that day forward he just couldn't stop his dreams from coming.
"I'll get that for you," Scorpius Malfoy said to him between compartments. Albus immediately felt his face heat up, something that'd always happened when the other boy was around- ever since first year. Now, on their way to their seventh year of Hogwarts, Albus could see his crush beginning to pay off. Scorpius had matured into such a fine young man, one he thought he'd only ever dream of- an honest to goodness Prince Charming; and he barely even knew Albus' first name.
Albus felt himself nod, even though he was a bit embarrassed to have lost his bearings. Scorpius didn't seem to mind though, as he paid the lady and handed Albus his Bertie Botts. "Thanks," Al mumbled, feeling miffed at the fact that the one time he and Scorpius were face-to-face it was because he'd forgotten to bring any money onto the train.
"Personally I don't care for them." Scorpius said, moving aside so the trolley could get by. He ripped open his Chocolate Frog, and set for the card. Al dreamily watched the blond boy smirk, a platinum penciled brow raised, the corner of his lips aloft. "You're a Potter, right?"
"Uhh... right," Al stuttered, marveling that they were really conversing. And at least he knew Albus' last name.
Scorpius ran a hand through his hair and popped the frog into his mouth, then handed Albus the card. Trying not to tremble- or give in to the shiver running down his spine- Al looked at its wizard.
"Harry James Potter, The Boy Who Lived, defeated the Dark Lord..." Al had read it all before. But this one was special.
"Want a bean?" He asked, before Score could disappear and he would wake up from this dream.
"I don't care for them." The Slytherin repeated, and then turned to head back down the hall.
