A/N: This is my entry for the Mirror of Erised 50 People Challenge. My person was Fred, and surprisingly, it was quite easy despite my lack of experience of the Weasley twins. So, read on.

When Fred was eleven, he always wanted to own a joke shop with his brother George. They were professional prankers at that time. Well, as professional as two eleven-year old twin brothers could be. They were pranking left and right and at any time they could.

One day when they were in their sixth year, they were talking about saving for a joke shop starting that day even though they knew that they would never get enough money. So, after that, George had gone to find someone to ask to the Yule Ball. Meanwhile, Fred had gone exploring the castle. He came to an empty classroom with only a mirror in it.

For some reason, Fred was drawn to the mystique of the mirror. When he got close enough to the mirror, he didn't see his reflection in it; he saw him and George. Him and his twin were standing in front of a big building. Fred looked closer and saw that it was a joke shop.

Fred was confused about why the mirror showed him this. He looked closer and saw that there was something engraved on the top of the mirror. "Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi," Fred said out loud. That souded familiar to the red-headed twin. He'd learned about something called the Mirror of Erised in class the other day, and it had the same engraving as the book said.

"It's the Mirror of Erised," Fred said, touching the mirror. "It shows your heart's desire."

Fred wouldn't see the Mirror of Erised again until four years later.

Four years later, the Battle of Hogwarts was going on, and Fred was trying to find safety for injured students and Order members. He remembered where he found the Mirror of Erised, and he rushed towards that room. When he entered the room, he saw the Mirror of Erised at the front of the room.

Out of curiousity, Fred decided to look in the mirror again. He remembered that four years ago, he saw him and George standing in front of a joke shop, their joke shop. Now, that desire had come true. What would he see this time?

In the mirror this time was the whole Weasley family, alive and safe. They all looked a little older, so Fred assumed it was after the war. The whole family were smiling and posing as if for a family picture like the one when they were in Egypt. So, his desire was the whole family alive after the war? That sounded about right to Fred.

He muttered, "Expecto Patronum," and his hyena Patronus appeared. He muttered a quick message to George, and the hyena ran out of the room.

The last time Fred looked in the Mirror of Erised was when he was watching over George when he was dead. But Fred didn't really look in it. He saw that George had looked into the mirror, and Fred had watched him. Although the last desire Fred had didn't come true, he knew that what George had seen in the mirror will come true one day.

One day they would meet again.

A/N: So, sort of a bittersweet ending, but I like it. Please review.
