"P-pp-puhlease. Stop."
"NO! You caused this!" Shadow said, his normally jet black fur was golden, as it normally was while he was Super Shadow. He lifted the battered body of his victim and showed her the once peaceful world she loved so much in its new Crisis City Level state.
"You thought I wasn't worth the time!" As he said another sentence, Shadow punched his captive.
"You thought I was a monster."
"I became the monster you feared so much!"
"You didn't even reject me verbally!"
"You just turned your nose up at me!"
"Why? Why! WHY!" Shadow panted after that moment of rage.
"Please….. just kill me…"
"NO! I want you to suffer. Just as I did…just as I did…."
"Shadow….. You're scaring me… wake up."
Shadow bolted up right in bed, panting.
"Shadow, are you alright?" The ebony hedgehog looked to his right to see a mass of dark pinkie hair. Shadow brushed the hair back revealing a bubblegum pink earth pony. The same one he was harming in his nightmare. She was his lover, confidant, fillyfriend, and pillow. Her name was Pinkie Pie.
"I just had that nightmare again, that's all. Nothing to—" Shadow was cut off as Pinkie pressed her lips against Shadow's, he quickly kissed back.
"That better?" Pinkie asked. Shadow smiled and hugged the pink pony.
"Will you tell me about it?" Pinkie asked. Shadow nodded.
"I was super, I had destroyed Equestria until it was on par with Crisis City. Only one pony was alive, and they had rejected me. That pony was you Pinkie and I kept hurting you again and again. Never killing you." Shadow looked to his fillyfriend. He jumped at the fact she was a darker shade of pink and her mane was flat.
"Would you ever do that to me, Shadow?" Pinkie asked. Shadow shook his head.
"I would never do that to you."
"I don't think I can sleep now...Shadow, will you sing to me? That song you sung on our first date?" Shadow nodded. Pinkie rested her head against Shadow's chest.
Eyes go shut
I dissipate
Into thin air leaving no trace
Distant voice
Not listening
Why don't you just save your breath?
All of your words feel like a jail
That blocks the sun and makes me stale
Not enough gold in all the world
So why have I surrendered
To your abusive ways
The cracks have opened up to the core
Is there anywhere to go from here now?
Sick with the lies consuming our souls
Give me one reason to take the breath we breathe for granted
Hold it in so long that you forget to say
Give me one reason to remain confined within the fences
Here with you and my soul on display
Bite my tongue
Swallow the pain
A bit disturbed by these displays
Now we've got nothing to say
The silence growing deadly
So here we are drifting apart
Neither willing to drop their guard
Haven't we got something to say?
The distance growing deadly
From years and years of pain
The cracks go deeper than we can see
Let's take a good look at where we are now
Maybe the end's the start that we need
Give me one reason to take the breath we breathe for granted
Hold it in so long that you forget to say
Give me one reason to remain confined within the fences
Stuck here with you and my soul on display
Life is too precious to waste
Shadow looked down at Pinkie, who's hair was back to normal.
"Hey, Pinkie."
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
