From me to you

i wasn't always blind. I was a carefree, loving little kid. back then, everday was great. i loved my friends, my family...Heck, I loved everybody! but back then, I actually see. the incident hit me when I was twelve. being struck blind tends to change your perspective.

You see, it wasn't really like those tragic stories where the girl got blinded to protect someone who was stupid enough to hold scissors or acid in their hand or something like, she got in a car accident and the glass flew into her eyes. No. none of that. my life with blindness started at the school park in seventh grade.

"Aria! come on! get off the stupid swing. i'm tired of standing here. you're not a kid anymore!" my best friend Layla whined.

"Jeez Layla. Don't be a spaz. you don't seem like you're tired of standing there. since you're checking your phone for an update on your Justin's facebook wall. Give me a freaking break!" I sighed in irritation.

"Fine, i'm done so now i'm really bored cause of standing here mindlessly and i have no gossip whatsoever. lets Please do something." Layla shot back

I looked around the playground to torture someone. I found one. on the slide, sitting alone, was none other than my arch nemesis. Georgia Highland. "Omigod. look at Georgia's shoes. she looks like she got them out of the garbage can. lets go have a closer look to see if she got her face out of the garbage can too." I smirked.

Layla laughed. "Well, since i'm a nice person, we should give her some tips" she agreed.

I had made fun of Georgia Highland since grade two ever since when she spilt chocolate milk on my white dress. She also got better grades than I did. I made fun her at every chance I got.

When Layla and I arrived there, she looked up with empty eyes. i faltered. she looked like she was tired of this fight we've had. i was Layla started off for me.

"George-ah. you look even uglier than usual today. I don't get it. why won't you get a bag for a face? it would be an improvement." Layla taunted.

I manage to recover from my trance and took that time to strike the second strike.

"yeah, did you lose a bet with God and your parents?" I screamed.

Me and layla began to laugh hysterically.

Georgia hung her head.

"Aww, Georgie want her mummy or daddy?" Layla

"Stop" she whispered under her breath.

"Sorry? I can't hear you over my laughter. You embarrassment" I managed breath again.

"Stop. STOP. STOP!" she screamed.

Layla and I speechless. a crowd was starting to form. Georgia continued to scream.

"Stop it! I hate you! I never did anything to you! go away! if you don't leave , I'll...I'll...kill you! I hate you Aria Floren. you worthless, hopeless...it."

she snarled In corner of my peripheral vision, I saw Georgia grab something and i suddenly felt something in both my eyes. a piercing pain in my eyes. I screamed. I heard kids screaming and whispering.I heard teachers shouting for help. Lastly I Georgia laughing.I kept screaming in pain. over my shrieks, Georgia spoke coldly.

"This is all the pain that you gave me for all these years. you'll never have to see my face again. or anything for that matter. I hate you. you're not even a person. you're an it.

Get out of my face. I felt my breaths get short. I felt blood pound in my ears. i couldn't breath.

"Breath! breath!" I heard someone say

I fainted.
