très magnifique = very magnificent
(Though, i'm quite positive you know from playing the game.)
Persona 3 (c) Atlus
AN: Ken is a wonderful person. Seriously, have you ever seen a kid so cute? Yes, that is all.
He's standing there in a mass of nameless faces and pools of colors that clashed violently with each other, cheering along mindlessly as he watched his former comrades, Akihiko Sanada and now the new Mitsuru Sanada, and he can't help but think his invite was only out of courtesy of their once relations to each other.
All he's doing is staring intently at them with hazy eyes, his mind drifting back to how was it possible that ten years passed so quickly like they never even happened and it was all a bad dream. Those days back when he was a part of S.E.E.S still resurfaced at least once a day and he couldn't help but wonder if they remembered any of it.
Do they remember that particular full moon on that cold October night and how Shinjiro was shot dead and there wasn't a thing anyone could do? Or how when they all came running to the scene, it was their leader who dropped to her skinned knees and cried out in a way that rivaled banshees, not even caring that blood was painting her uniform? Do they remember their once fearless leader? Do they remember Minako Arisato?
Ken Amada remembers her. He remembers the day he was officially a part of S.E.E.S and the first person to invite him out was none other than the leader and she continued to do so, always having a plastic smile in place of her pretty little face. How, even after he was the ultimate person to blame for Shinjiro's death, and he returned to the housing after his short disappearance that even if she wasn't one of the people to run over and welcome him with open arms, she was the one who had tears streaming out of her eyes, chanting a mantra about how worried she was. How in their final battle against Death, she was still leading them despite the tears in her uniform and gashes present all alongside her thighs, she persevered until she succeeded in leading them to victory. Most of all, he remembers how even as she lay across Aigis' lap, fully accepting her destiny, she continued to smile selflessly and even with clouded eyes, they still twinkled in the way they always did.
He's watching the newlyweds again, frowning bitterly as they laughed joyfully as they tried and failed miserably to dodge the rice that was being tossed at them. Ken was staring, he knew, because yes, Mitsuru looked absolutely très magnifique as she'd say in her beloved French, it even helped that her cold exterior was down for the day. Despite the woman being beautiful with her extraordinary strawberry hair and shapely body, Ken always thought that it was Minako who earned the title to the most gorgeous person in existence.
What made Minako this wonderful person was just the way she never let the bad things get to her and she was always so forgiving. Junpei used to always make a comment on how her looks were a bonus. Ken couldn't really disagree when she had those ruby eyes that beat out the real things and her hair was such a soft, chocolate like texture that made him want to eat it all up. She's what he always imagined was the embodiment of perfection and still continued to think so.
With one last wave to the roaring crowd, Akihiko and Mitsuru climb in to their traditional limo and Ken is still in his daze. And he wonders, do they remember his first love?
