Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeello everyone, this is Star talkin' and welcome to another story of mine! And we're here writing a fan-fiction with two things I love: Soulmates AU and Fairy Tail! I created this Soulmate AU while relaxing and I was thinking of Fairy Tail at the moment, so I thought:"Why not combine them together?". And so, this thing was born. Enough with the chit-chatting, let's run head on in the story!

Disclaimer: Fairy Tail isn't mine. It belongs to Hiro Mashima-sama. Though I own this Soulmate AU, so if you want to use it, make sure to tell me or mention me!

Every person on this planet has a soulmate somewhere: sometimes they would find it, sometimes not and sometimes they would die before finding that special someone that had its soul and fate interwined with theirs. There aren't any ways to actually search for them, just a pang in your chest when you meet them for the first time.

Though the nature has strange ways of giving clues about them.

The Gifted are people attuned with the Earth since they are born, and the ones that receive these clues in the form of names. There are various ways nature could tell a Gifted about their soulmate's name: it would whisper it in the howl of the wind, grumble it in the sound of the waves in a shell, sing it in the rustle of the leaves... these are the most common. There are rare cases where the name would be written instead of told, or the name would just pop in the Gifted's head after sniffing a particular smell or touching a particular texture.

I'm one of those rare cases.

My name is Lucy Heartfilia, and I'm a Gifted. Nature gave me my soulmate's name, in my opinion, in one of the best ways possible: the sun wrote it on my skin, on the back of my right hand. When I felt the sunrays hit my hand, warmer than before, I hadn't give much thought, but as I brought it to my face, I saw it there, written in a tone darker than my suntanned skin:

"Natsu". Huh, ironic:"Summer".

It would probably fade with my tan, but I didn't care. That name was burned in my brain anyway. I could never forget it, even if it faded away from my skin.

«Natsu, huh?»

So, how was it? I don't write that much and I don't have a beta, so this is a lot of work. I basically pulled an all-nighter! This story will have slow updates, so if ya' really want to read this, I'm impressed by your patience. Or I can leave it a one-shot if you'd like. Write it to me in the reviews, my Zorua is still waiting! Until we see again, sa-lu-tations! (you know where I took it from ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))
