Just a random thought that came to my head. Thought I'd write it down and see what you think! Please enjoy!

And there we were. Life had always been hard for me, but this moment was all I could have asked for. I had so many questions for him; about my parents, about my past, about his life. But for now we just sat in comfortable silence; happy in each other's company.

He had always been there for me, even though I didn't know it. when he asked me to come and live with him, I had to say yes. He was the only family I had! Things were a little tricky for a while, but we finally reached this point. Every summer since my fifth year I've made my home at Sirius's place. I have to start my summer with the Dursley's of course, but no more than a week after I arrive I announce I'm leaving and they let me go.

Sirius was able to get this cozy cottage in a distant wood. We're a little isolated, but it works for us. He tells me stories about what my dad was like, and all the pranks he pulled. He gave me tips for my last few years at Hogwarts. For once it seemed my life was normal. Yeah, I didn't have my parents, but I had some family, and a home now. I had a semi normal school life and a bunch of great friends. I was doing really well in all of my classes, and Sirius told me that I would undoubtedly be a great wizard.

We spend a lot of time outside. He loves walking around as a dog, and so do I. We play all the time when he's Padfoot. We play fetch and frisbee and all sorts of things.

We see Ron and Hermione often too. The Weasley's stop by quite a bit, and we spend our fair share of our time at the Burrow as well. Hermione stops by as well with her parents. They're easy to talk to, since I was raised by Muggles myself. Sirius is always glad to talk to the Grangers.

Life was good.

But then, there's a hallway, and an arch. There's voices, so many voices, whispering something I can't quite understand. What are they saying?

Sirius? Why are you here? You should be home right now. Then there's a flash of green, and evil female laugh, and I see the light leave his eyes as he stumbles back, into the unknown. What's happening?

Reality sets in.

That's when I wake up, desperately missing the moments we never shared.

I thought it was a nice little one-shot. R&R. Thanks and God bless =]]
