Step.

Just a few more.

Step.

You're almost there.

Step.

Why are you here?

It was a complete surprise when she found herself here. Amongst the rocks of a torn battle field. Blood, fresh and old, had been scattered across the field. Two bodies.

Two corpses.

The two she loved the most.

One. The eldest. Beautiful as he is handsome. Gentle as he is rough. Cold and merciless. Merciful and kind.Intelligent. Evil. Murderer.

But, wasn't she?

Two. The youngest. Handsome. Cold. Arrogent. Killer.

Shinobi.

Those two... were more alike then they would have ever admitted. But so different, they were apart. They were cold. They were merciless. They were cruel. Yet they both showed her they were human. They both showed her what little kindness they had in their lonely hearts.

They were human.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

She stood before both men who had captured her heart. But both in different ways. Neither deserved to die. They didn't deserve it. They were brothers. They were family. She cried for them. She mourned for them. She yearned for them. She yearned for her friend. She yearned for her lover.

But she would never see them again.

Nothing she could do. Nothing she could say. So she cried. So she mourned. And so she yearned.

But one thing she knew.

In heaven, where all truths are revealed, they were happy.

Brothers again.
