This is my first fanfiction for Alice in Wonderland!

NOTE: Sabrina is 18, Puck looks like he's 18 too, Daphne's 14.

The first chapter's very short, as usual in my stories, but I hope you like it.

Chapter 1. Stuck

Sabrina's POV

Fort Charming is a hiding place not just for Everafter refugees, but for animals also. Many animals have come here, hiding from the Scarlet Hand hunters. Many normal animals. Foxes, dogs, cats. Rabbits. It's natural that there are several rabbit holes around the fort.

So Daphne and I weren't surprised when we came across a rabbit hole while walking around the castle. The hole was… the hole looked normal, there was nothing unusual there. We looked at it and were about to go away, when I saw something very odd about it! The pure darkness inside the hole seemed to fade, and we spotted a dim yellow light inside!

Daphne took her magic detector out of her pocket, and the detector vibrated so violently that Daphne dropped it. The black ball, still vibrating, rolled on the ground and fell into the hole.

"Oh no!" Daphne cried. "It's one of the most important magical items in my little collection!" She leaned over the strange hole and was about to look inside, but I snatched her by the sleeve:

"No way. We'll call some powerful magicians to retrieve the detector. Don't you know the danger of odd-looking rabbit holes?"

"I'll just look if I can reach the detector from here," Daphne replied. "If I can't, we'll call for help." So she bent down, outstretched her hand and then… Just as I feared. The ground beneath her fell down the hole, and Daphne fell with it. I could spot her falling down, down, down the dimly lit tunnel. I was so shocked that I yelled for help when my sister already disappeared and her cries couldn't be heard anymore.

"Help, somebody! Daphne has fallen down a rabbit hole!" I called. In several moments, to my relief, I heard the familiar sound of flapping wings. Puck hovered ten feet above the ground.

"Well, what is it now?" he asked in a bored tone. "What do I have to do? Kill a dragon? Fight an army? Pull a prank?"

"None of the above," I said. "Daphne fell down," I pointed to the hole. "I need you to land me down there, so we'll find my sister. I hope she survived the falling."

"If Alice survived it, why would Marshmallow get hurt?" Puck laughed and took my hand. "Ready to fly down there?"

We jumped into the hole. Air rushed past my face. I noticed that the walls of the tunnel weren't made of earth, but of wood, chalk and stone. I spotted some bookshelves, pieces of furniture, globes, and maps – attached to the walls or falling down along with us. Puck managed to snatch a piece of cake from a cupboard.

Finally, we landed on the floor of a small dark room. Daphne was already standing there, holding some vial in her hand and looking at it uncertainly. She was frightened and pale, but alive and well.

"Oh, thank goodness you're all right!" I said, greatly relieved.

"That's not all right," she said when Puck and I stood up. "The room now has a ceiling up there – just look!"

I looked up and saw a marble ceiling instead of the familiar tunnel that would lead us up and home. For the first time in my life, I felt overwhelming panic. Puck, Daphne and I were stuck in some stupid Wonderland. Stuck. Maybe even forever.
