This is Ellis after the've been found, and the survivors live in a safe government place.
Yeah, they're alive.
Anyway, I like to imagine him having a daughter, and her name is Georgia.
I mostly got the idea from a picture on Deviantart, which I will put a link for(Once I can) here;
Just as in the picture, feel free to imagine whoever the mother is. It could be Zoey... It could be an OC... I don't care...
Mk, I own no L4D2... or 1...
Her eyes shimmered with hot tears, her throat hurt from the throaty wails that were throwing themselves past her plump lips. Her face was beat red with fear and sadness, nothing would stop her from expressing herself.
Ellis wished otherwise. He bounced her and bounced her to no end, but nothing sufficed. His first thought; the paint fumes are irritating her nose. So he left her soon-to-be nursery, with fresh pink paint on the walls and in the buckets. Ellis left the room and jogged down the stairs carefully, and as quickly as he could. The sooner she'd have the fresh air fill her lunges, the sooner she might stop crying, and stop damaging her newly developed throat. He imagined her throaty screams were somehow scratching at her pink muscles, and he shuddered.
He sat down on the couch, and continued to bounce her. Nothing changed. Then he put her up to his shoulder, and started patting her back lightly, still nothing. This is where Ellis started to worry, would she ever stop? Her mother was out, so no actual feeding...they may have formula, but she'd never drink that willingly. Did she need a pacifier? Where did that thing go? Would it even be clean? Ellis was at a loss.
Then it hit him. He placed her snuggly in his arms against his chest, and rocked her slowly back and forth, not missing a beat. Then, he began to hum. Hum a slow song, that rumbled in the base of his chest. Though she still fussed while he was humming, he didn't stop, he knew these things took time.
As a minute or so passed, she quieted, her sobs becoming sniffles, and her hands robotically pulling themselves up to her face to wipe her eyes of the left over tears. Ellis took his hand off of her back, and cleaned her face. He smiled as he continued humming, lulling his baby girl to sleep. Finally she stopped screaming. Her eyes closed, and her breathing evened.
"Georgia Georgia Georgia," he sighed, smiling. He brought his lips to her forehead and let them hover just over her skin. "What am Ah'gonna dew wit yew?" Her head twitched in her sleep, and she cooed. "Ah love yew, darlin'. Yew'r the sweetest, girl Ah ever met. An' one day, yew an' me'll go out wit yur Uncle Keith, an' we'll go on adventures. It'll be great!" He chuckled, realizing he was talking to a sleeping baby. His sleeping baby.
That made his heart flutter.
