Fallen Angels

A perfect heaven, high above the clouds,
the perfect being made to wander about
In the light it's so perfect, why leave?
But they made a mistake, for their will was free.

Their souls grew dim as darkness stole their light
Banished from the great heaven, they fell from up high.
darkness put blood on their hands and feathers
beautiful wings clipped and cut was heaven's tether

The bright sun and stars dimmed and shied
for their love for the perfect almost died.
It only grew bright as angels streaked down
wings and halos burned as they cried without sound.

Embers fell around the fallen figure
how it got there was only a blur
Only visions of future fire and brimstone
and fading memories of heaven is known.

Barren is the earth where it fell
cursed to work it just to live and dwell
Desperate for it's lost love to return
but knows it can never be and can only yearn

The king of heaven's greatest creation still loves
it caused him pain to see them pushed off and shoved
He felt their buns and loss as they fell
He wouldn't leave them alone, but their fate he could tell.

Fallen angels everywhere, born from good but made bad
every dark spot and deed makes the creator sad
invisible halos on their heads and wings on their backs
walking around today, they still feel the ancient impact.

Light and dark, two worlds their hands and feet span
God's fallen angel is man.

A/N: I am aware that this is a far fetched metaphor but I am still proud of it. I just hope you like it too. Enjoy!
