He would never by kacau
Nick Lucas was never one to do things without thinking about it. If someone had asked him earlier if he would ever skip a class, he would probably raise his eyebrown and deny. But when he saw Macy Misa lying there, in the atrium bench, he just couldn't help himself but going to check on her.
Macy seemed almost asleep, her face calm and happy. Nick looked around but couldn't see anybody else near. He was afraid he would seem creepy for staring at the girl like that but he couldn't take his eyes off her features. So he let his eyes wonder down her body, taking in her sligthly raised shirt, her a-little-too-short skirt and her long legs. For the first time in his life, Nick had no control over his thoughts.
Shaking his head, the boy took a step back, tripping over a bush and falling with a muffled tump on the floor. Macy sat up quikly, trying to figure out where did the sound come from. That was when she saw Nick.
He was expecting her to yell, to faint or to do something equally as fan-like, but she kept staring at him, a deep blush covering her face. Nick looked down, embarassed, still not sure of what to say when Macy interrupted the silence.
"I-I'm sorry. I'm taking all the bench." Her voice was low and nervous and the Lucas had the strange urge to smile. He came to his feet and sat near her, letting his backpack drop to the floor.
"It's okay. I shouldn't be here actually, I just saw you and thought..." He stopped. "Hm... I don't really know what I thought. Maybe I should go to class." He stood up, gattering his things and walking to the exit without looking back. Macy bit her lip and tried to control the screaming fan in her head; the real Macy Misa was enjoying too much this new façade of Nick Lucas.
"I'll go with you. The fifth period is almost over and I've got spanish with you for sixth." She said. Nick nodded and they started walking, side by side. Macy kept quiet, trying to stop herself from screaming or trying to rip a piece of his clothes. Oblivious to her thoughts, the boy debated if he should say something or not.
"Macy, what were you doing over there?" He turned to her, observing her face with interest. She shrugged, looking at her feet.
"Sometimes, when the sky is clear, I like to stay there, thinking about life and relaxing. It's a big change from the things I usually do." Macy looked up and smiled at him. " Don't get me wrong, I love my sports, but it's good to have somewhere to clear out." Strangely enough, Nick found himself smiling at this explanation. He understood exactly what she meant.
"I feel the same way. About sports and music and life. Sometimes it's tirying, you know? Being a rock star." Macy stared at him, her eyes twinkling with some different emotion. Se had never seen Nick like this and the idea of him as a person made him look more human, and even more attractive. This caused her to blush. "I think I might steal your thinking place." He winked.
Macy laughed and they entered the spanish classroom. They sat at their usual spots and tried to pay attention to the class that started. From across the room, Nick glanced at Macy, thinking how incredible she looked when the sun came from the window and shined on her. Macy looked at him and he saw the blood creep onto her cheeks.
She would never admit it, but Nick Lucas had never looked so handsome for her as he did in that moment.
