Prequel to Dr. Jennifer Martha Donna Nobis-Jones

Jenny set her ship down in the clearing on the platform. After shutting it down, she disembarked and walked down the ramp.

That cleric that had told here about this place said that it was as close to heaven you could get. Now, being here, Jenny could see what he meant. It was beautiful. She been traveling for about a month but she thought that this just might be the most beautiful place she will ever see.

Wandering around the shops, she was drawn to one that sold linens and things. "Hello, love." The clerk said. "Need any help?"

"What are these for?" Jenny pointed at the star shaped patches.

"They're prayer leafs. Folks have their children's names stitched into them and they believe that if you have one, your child will always come home to you."

"Can I purchase one for my dad?"

"Sure, love. What's your name?"

"Jenny."

"Is that it? Just, Jenny?"

"Yes. Except, I don't know how to get it to him. He travels an awful lot."

"Well, If he travels, eventually he'll end up here, yeah?" The clerk reasoned with her. "So, If you pay for it, I'll keep a look out for him. What's his name?"

"The Doctor."

The clerk froze. "Did you say he's a Doctor?"

"No, The Doctor. The definite article, you might say."

"In that case, it's free. The Doctor is a bit of a local legend, see?" She pointed at the tapestry that was hanging in the booth. It depicted a man in a bowtie and a woman with red hair, and a blue box.

"What's that blue box?" Jenny asked.

The clerk was surprised. "You don't know?"

Jenny shook her head. "Like I said, he travels a lot. I didn't know him for very long. It's not even his fault, really. He thought I was dead. Anyway," She said. "What's the blue box?"

"It's his traveling machine."

Jenny looked at the tapestry again. "It's a bit small."

The clerk nodded. "The legend says that it's bigger in the inside. I always that bit was rubbish but if anyone could do it, he could."

Jenny smiled and nodded. "Anyway, I hope you find him. I just want him to know I'm alright."

The clerk nodded. "I'll keep a lookout for him. Are you going to stay here a couple days, see the sights?"

"Yeah. But not very long." She grinned impishly. "I'm a traveler, like my dad." She turned and walked off.

The clerk called out to her. "Just watch out for the Silence, child."

Jenny turned around. "What?"

"The Silence. They're from the same legends. They want the Doctor too, except they want him dead. If they find you, they will use you to get to him."

Jenny nodded slowly. "Alright. Thank you for warning me." I think.
