Goodbye Grant High
When Marc Molina arrived at Grant High, he never expected to grow attached to any of the students there. He was supposed to help them with their academics, but after that he would go home as if nothing ever happened. This job didn't mean anything to him expect some cash in his pocket. He just wanted to do his job and get out, but then he met him.
Ben Boykevich.
The kid with the heart of gold.
When he first met Ben he honestly thought the kid was crazy. He had all of these ideas in his head that Marc couldn't help but think was crazy. But after taking the time to get to know him he could honestly say that he was blessed to have met him. Ben brought some light into his life. Marc has always tried to look at things realistically because he knew that fairy tale endings just never happened, but talking to Ben gave him some type of faith.
Whenever he talked to Ben he felt like he could go out and follow his dreams. Ben inspired him.
He had never really thought of true love until he heard Ben talk about Amy. Whenever he spoke of her he watched the way the kid's eyes would light up and the way he couldn't stop himself from smiling. The kid seemed so confident in what he wanted in life, and he didn't let things get to him. Anybody else would have given up. Amy was pregnant with another guy's baby, but Ben didn't care about that. All he wanted to do was protect her, and be there for her. Because he truly loved her.
Marc couldn't tell if it was foolish or admirable, but whenever he had a conversation with Ben about it he couldn't deny the fact that the kid was definitely persistent.
As he threw the last remaining items into his box he sighed as he looked back at his office.
He would miss working here, and although he would never admit it he would miss Ben Boykevich.
Because Ben made him want to be a kid all over again.
