Grace Rose Lahote-Weasley Pov

"Name?"

"Grace." I scowled

"Full name please."

"Grace Rose Lahote-Weasley." I gritted out, anger radiating from my entire being, my teeth grinding together

"Offence?"

"Punching Katy Flink." I answered sourly

"Region of assault?"

"Face."

"Blows landed on victim."

"One."

"Reason of assault?"

"She insulted my family repeatedly." I growled, eyes blazing

"Reflection on action taken?"

"I maintain that she deserved it."

The woman gave me a strained smile before saying in a false pleasant tone "You are free to leave although you may be called back at any time for questioning."

I knew this was the last straw and I wouldn't win, I knew what this meant, when the term finished I would be 'let go' or expelled from school, I felt a sigh of pleasure and a jolt of uncertainty. This is all I had known since I was little… since I moved away from uncle Paul's house in La Push at the tender age of eleven. I walked back to my dorm slowly, almost knowing what came next and as if on cue they descended on me, kicking, punching, pulling and scratching. After what felt like an eternity later I pulled myself from the ground, leaving the blood strains knowing that they would be taken care of by the elves. My whole body felt raw and abused from my beating, everything hurt. I knew Katy would look as good as new tomorrow because she went whining to the nurse, I wouldn't. I chose not to whine, I took my bruises as a sign of progress or a lesson. Every hurt is a lesson. I knew it wasn't attractive to be covered in bruises but… my care factor was at a big fat 0. People smiled at me, because I punched Katy Flink and it wasn't that I was looking for their approval… it was just a perk of punching her. The bitch had it coming. I reached my dorm and went straight to the bathroom, cleaning myself up for bed. Sighing as I slipped into ratty pyjamas I rooted around in my suitcase, pulling out a smooth black object. I dialled my Uncle Paul's number, biting my lip before wincing as it rung.

"This is Paul's phone, Rachel speaking." Rachel spoke politely, she was Paul's wife

"Hey Rachel," I rasped, man Katy had a mean throat jap "It's Gracie… I was wondering if Uncle Paul was around."

"Gracie." Rachel spoke in shock "How are you?"

I gave a dry chuckle before I let a quiet sob out, feeling further away than usual from any family that I had. "Not so good."

"Oh sweetie," She clucked motherly, which only made me want to sob harder but I pulled myself together "What happened."

"I just got my ass handed to me… the usual." I smiled before hissing at my split lip

"I will get Paul." She said quietly before I heard her yelling for Paul to 'get his ass to the phone right now.'

"Hello?" Paul spoke into the phone

"Hey Uncle Paul." I whispered, feeling a bit of anxiety lift up at the sound of his voice

"Hey Squirt." He chirped before there was a pause "So you got your ass handed to you again?"

"Five against one… I wouldn't have said the odd were too even." I spat into the fire, watching the blood and spit sizzle momentarily before the flames over took it until there was nothing left

"How bad?" he asked, his voice quiet

"I'm going to need crutches tomorrow… Laura decided it would be funny if she carved into my leg with a knife." I whispered, inspecting the area that was still oozing a little bit of blood

"… did you cause the stone to start rolling?" he asked, sighing. I could imagine him rubbing his face roughly while leaning on the wall with his free hand

"Yes." I whispered

"Bloody hell, Grace." He yelled "You were asking for it then, what were you thinking?"

"I wasn't thinking." I whispered "… They called me a mud blood… and I was okay with that but then… they called her a whore and slut and him a blood traitor who got what he deserved."

I heard him swear "I'm sorry you have to deal with this but… you can't let it get to you anymore, Grace."

"I can't help it… I honestly can't it's like my thoughts stop and I just act… they get what they deserve." I snapped, anger taking over quickly

"Do you think you will come visit in the holidays?" Uncle Paul asked

"Don't think I have a choice in the matter," I said quietly "The look on her face said it all, it's all over… I think I am getting expelled." I sighed, peering at the clock

"For a week or longer?" he asked

"A week," I nodded "I promised Molly that I would at least seem them for a week as well this holidays."

"Where are you going to go now?" Uncle Paul sighed, I could see him tugging his hair

"I honestly don't know," I whispered "I don't know."

"Will you come live with me or keep living at Molly's?" He asked, I knew he would take me in, in a heartbeat but… I didn't know if that would hinder my lifestyle

"I don't know, but I do know that you, Rachel, Molly and Arthur will be asked to come to a meeting though. Probably on Wednesday." I sighed, lying down against my soft pillows

"Well, it's probably late over there, I will let you get some sleep." Uncle Paul sighed "Try not to get into anymore trouble, please."

"No guarantees." I shrugged but was completely serious "Goodnight."

"Thanks for the heads up, night."

I hung up without another word and pulled myself from bed before beginning to write out a letter that I could send to Aunt Molly and Uncle Arthur.

22nd/May/2015

Uncle Arthur and Aunt Molly,

School had been trying over the last term and a half to say the least… I became provoked today and got into another scuffle today in which I punched another girl in the face. I still maintain that she deserved it. I do believe a meeting will be called on Wednesday to explain my… behaviour and living arrangements. I mention my living arrangements because if my hunch is right they will allow me to finish out the term before expelling me. I understand that this is disappointing for you to hear from me and I understand if you wish to drop custody of me I fully understand. I also think that they will send home a behaviour slip (I don't know if you have received any in the past) notifying you of what happened on both accounts and what mine and the 'victims' consequences are. I don't wish to repeat what was said to me to bring me into such a rage to punch a person in a letter… you don't deserve that.

I hope you and the rest of the family are well.

Your niece,

Gracie Lahote-Weasley

I grabbed my Owl, Black Wind, a wicked fast and intelligent black owl, strapped the letter to her leg and threw her out the window. I watched as she flapped and soared away, out the gates and to freedom, I wished I could follow her. I felt my heart bleed at the through of Molly and Arthur resigning custody of me because of the disappointment I am. I loved them, their family… everything about them… it would kill me if they didn't want me anymore. While I loved my Uncle Paul and the rest of my friends while I was there… it was good and everything but I just felt… alone… I fell into bed that night, my head reeling in the after effects of the fight and what had been said, I knew that I would have a rough week or so in front of me. I closed my eyes, knowing what I was going to see when sleep took me again.

Arthur Weasley (Mr Weasley) Pov

Molly and I were sitting at the table, reading our morning papers while drinking our tea when a black owl soared in the window, sitting on the top of a spare chair regally, head held high. I knew that it was Grace's owl, the creature fitted her perfectly, after all she had been through she just kept going with purpose and normality... like she was living the normal life of a regular 15 year old. The owl held out it's leg to Molly and she removed it, giving the owl one last pat and toast scrap before it took off gracefully out the window and into the sky. She was reading and I noticed all the color drain from her face and her hands grip the paper tighter.

"Molly?" I asked, concerned about what was on the parchment "What's wrong?"

She made an upset noise and silently handed me the piece and I felt my stomach sink. We had been getting letters for about a year, half of last year and the first half of this year about Grace getting into fights. Behavior remarks, behavior slips and both people's questioning answers, I felt myself bristle in anger. Gracie had always a wild child with a quick temper if people accused her of something that she didn't do or felt was unfair, she had never been like this though. I knew that people were pushing her around to make her do this. I peered at Molly and saw her coming to the same conclusion, we were going to go to her school, today and clear up this mess.

"How could she think that we wouldn't want her anymore?" Molly asked, tears beading in her eyes

"I would think that she is… disappointed in herself to behaving the way she been forced to." I answered carefully

"I never wanted her to go to that school," Molly snapped "It's too far away from everyone and they are all stuck up pure bloods who have no other concerns but who's blood is the purest."

"C'mon." I nodded, placing my dishes in the sink and grabbing my jacket "Let's go get this cleaned up."

We both headed outside and held hands, I apperated to the gates of the school, shivering at the fore-boarding look of the place. It didn't even look like a school, more like a prison, a fancy prison though.
