AN: I dunno, I really wanted to write something for Leon because he's such a fine man but this didn't turn out the way I hoped it would. Still, I was able to pump this little one-shot out. Hopefully y'all like it! Happy reading!

"Good morning!"

"Morning."

Leon sat down beside the dark haired girl who was casually lounging on a wide ledge that overlooked the castle. The sun was beginning to peek out from behind the castle and Leon closed his eyes as he felt the sun warm his skin. Mira was a new member of the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee and Leon often spent his mornings with her.

"Hey, Leon, how come you don't like your real name?"

"What are you talking about, Mira?"

"Yuffie told me that your real name was Squall but you hate it when people call you by it."

Leon cast a side glance at the dark haired girl who was walking beside him. She had dark enigmatic eyes and she was petite, her head barely reaching his shoulders. She gave him a crooked smile and he quickly looked away.

"Aren't you going to tell me?" She asked.

"No."

"Aww, why not?"

Leon sighed and Mira pursed her lips. She could tell that he was growing irritated.

"If you tell me, I promise I won't bother you for the rest of the day."

Leon arched his brow at Mira words; solitude sounded nice.

"I use the name Leon instead of Squall because I want to be strong. When Radiant Garden first fell, I failed to protect it because I was weak. I was perfectly capable it defending it, but I was weak. With Leon as my name, perhaps I could avoid making the same mistake twice."

Mira stuffed her hands into her pockets and nodded as she accepted Leon's reasoning.

"I see. Man, that means you're boring now."

Leon frowned slightly,

"Boring? What makes you say that?"

Mira rolled her eyes,

"I can't make fun of you now, like, 'Oh, Leon changed his name because he wanted to be cool like Cloud' or something like that."

Mira laughed at Leon's unamused expression.

"Then I suppose you'll let me call you Miranda."

Mira pouted and Leon smiled slightly.

"Don't call me that."

"I could say the same for myself."

Mira puffed out her cheeks.

"Fine."

Leon wondered why he felt so relaxed. Maybe it was because he was outside rather than being cooped up inside like usual. He glanced at Mira and saw that her eyes were closed as she basked in the warm sunlight. He couldn't help but notice her long lashes and he recalled moments when she looked at him and nearly made his heart stop.

Leon questioned himself as he leaned in towards Mira. Her eyes were still closed and she didn't seem to notice what he was doing. She jumped slightly and her eyes shot open when Leon pressed his lips against hers. She pulled away slightly,

"Leon?"

""Do you not like it?"

"Well, I do, but-"

Leon kissed her again, tugging her until she moved into his lap and settled against his chest. His hand came to cup her cheek and Mira gasped when he deepened the kiss. Her hand lingered on his collarbone and Leon shivered when her fingers trailed down his chest.

Mira was dizzy and breathless when Leon finally broke the kiss but he continued pressing gentle kisses against her lips.

"I think I like you," Leon confessed.

Mira laughed softly and she ran her hand through Leon's hair.

"It's about time."

"Hmph."

Mira smiled and met Leon's gaze.

"I like you a lot, too."

Mira laughed as a blush overcame Leon's features and he turned away, embarrassed.

"You're cute when you're embarrassed."

Mira laughed even harder when Leon turned a darker shade of red and he sighed before he silenced her with another kiss.
