Hey, everyone! I bet you are all wondering why I uploaded another fic, well, I'm doing this to get in touch with my writing again. Unchained Ecstasy is still ongoing, but I've been so lacking in my writing, that I couldn't find ways to bring that back up. So I'm doing this in order to help me so I can get back to updating. There's been so much going on, that I want to apologize for being gone for so long.
This isn't really a story, so if you're looking into something long and incredible, this story isn't for you. It's only going to be twenty-six chapters long, and this is just going to help me with my writing. To all of those who've supported me so far, thank you, and I hope to return fully after I gather my bearings!
For now, this is just a small read about an Uchiha that I love, and his fun little family, so I hope you enjoy it. I base this all on some ideas I've had, so I hope you enjoy reading the drabbles as much as I've enjoyed writing them! Chapters are out of chronological order, so nothing will lead into anything else. Sort of like a family one shot in each chapter.
Anyway, like I said, this is meant to be fun! Please enjoy and let me know what you think in a review!
Abduction
Chest heaving, heart pounding, Sakura Uchiha tore through the branches of the thick forest, following the cries of a defenseless child.
Her child.
Each cry made her entire being quiver with fear, her rage was boiling beneath the surface of it all. However, unleashing her power in that instant would put her daughter in danger, and taking risks was absolutely out of the question. Even so, it wasn't in her nature as a mother to do nothing for her child, so she gave chase. It was all she could do in that moment, to pursuit the abductors and formulate some form of plan that would save her daughter.
But what? What could Sakura possibly do? Fighting back the angry tears that threatened to fall, Sakura hardened her gaze on the fleeing figure that was only several feet ahead of her. Helplessness was making itself known, and the young woman was slowly losing all logical thought as desperation took root in her person.
A rustling of leaves could suddenly be heard, forcing Sakura to turn her head to the right, sharp, viridian hues did not miss in catching the glittering weapon that was shot in her direction. Forcing herself to dodge, she sought coverage in the branches of a nearby tree, but berated herself for being baited so easily. Her falter caused by the abductor's partner gave the other rogue the proper window to allow for an escape. The sudden thought had the pinkette battling through her fears enough to actually fight back. Targeting the second man, her emerald orbs flashed dangerously as she yelled out a cry of pure, unbridled anger.
"Out of my way...!" The words tore from her lips as she shot forward, raising a tightened fist that clenched with determination. The rugged foe reacted in surprise as eyes widened, trying to leap back out of the way, but Sakura didn't gift him with any mercy.
One of the trees that her fist made contact with, was splintered and torn apart in a fit of indescribable rage, the impact forcing its roots to fly up from the stiff ground. Branches broke in all angles, as leaves clung to dear life, but nothing could stand against the woman's ferocity as she yelled out furiously.
The rogue man was thrown back by the shock wave that Sakura's strength had given birth to, not only uprooting the tree itself, but many more after that. Pillars of wood and debris fell against the man, crumbling above him as he screamed in anguish at the weight of it all. Dust soon followed, obscuring her sight as she bit back a light cough, waving her hand at the suffocating clouds. However, she didn't have to leisure around and assess her damages, her daughter was still in the arms of the enemy, and she couldn't afford to waste anymore time.
"I'm coming..."
However, realization soon washed over Sakura in waves of cold, unyielding fear.
Her daughter had stopped crying.
Sakura couldn't hear her anymore, and despite trying to fight against it, the young woman could not help but think of the worst possible outcome. Was she too late? Did the man...dispose of her daughter?
With her heart frosting over in horror, she pushed through the branches and leaves of the trees, tearing them apart as went; whatever it took, she needed her little girl back. "Sarada!" Sakura allowed her fear stricken voice to be carried off by the winds, tackling a quiet sob that only a mother suffered through at the loss of her child. Again she called, feeling her limbs grow weak as the emotion and stress started to take their toll on the ailing mother.
"East...they were heading East!" Rotating her body, the rosy haired kunoichi darted towards the new direction, winds nipping at her face as she chewed the inner part of her cheek.
"There..." She whispered to herself, catching sight of small clearing and finally leaping away from one of the many branches. Deciding that it would be best to gather her bearings, Sakura landed nimbly on the ground, but instantaneously froze as she knelt, eyes freezing over with surprise as she gazed at the still form of the man she had been chasing.
Lying face down, the abductor was glancing in her general direction with lifeless eyes; a pool of crimson red was slowly seeping out of his body, and Sakura took note of the deep wound that had been slashed against his back in single, fluid motion.
But Sarada was no where to be seen...
The air around the woman stilled, and just when she was about to launch herself forward in another desperate attempt at a search, there was something that grabbed hold of her attention.
"Sakura.."
Despite so many years, there was still something about his voice that made her body break out into a light shiver. Had the circumstances had been different, Sakura would have found pleasure in greeting the man after so long, but right now, formalities was something she didn't have time for. With distraught hues that wavered slightly, she could not find the strength to face him. Their daughter had been snatched from right under her nose, and she was no closer to finding their daughter.
What was she to do?
Sakura gently whispered. "Sasuke-kun..."
"Ba?" Another sound cut through the air, forcing Sakura to glance at her husband with wide eyes.
With her heart catching in her throat, she went rigid with surprise at the sight. Biting her lip, the fears that Sakura had been feeling only moments before, were all drained.
Softening eyes took in the image of a man that was once considered a hardened rogue; his eyes settled carefully over a the form of a gentle child. Sakura lightly hugged herself, watching as Sasuke held his daughter in the safety of his one arm, seeming calm an collected, but his obsidian hues told another story.
As the raven haired child cooed once more, she noticed the way his lips curved into a faint smirk, before fading from thin lips. It was moments such as those that Sakura lived for, having had her dreams met and days blessed with a family.
A family she had long craved to create with just one man.
Stepping forward, the once crying, little girl, took in the image of her approaching mother and offered a bright smile. The female wasted no time in catching her daughter in her arms, pulling her close to her chest, while Sasuke lingered closely to his wife and child. "Sarada..." Sakura whispered, feeling relief finally wash over her now that she had her daughter snugged warmly in her arms. "Sasuke-kun, how...?" She peered up at the stoic man, searching for answers.
"When I returned to the village, news had already spread like wildfire about Sarada's capture.." He tersely explained, darkening eyes flickering over to the lifeless form of their former foe. "I managed to intercept him in time." Returning his gaze back to his family, he then lifted a hard hand and carefully ran a thumb down his daughter's back, drawing out another bubbled sound. "Are you two alright?"
Almost immediately, Sakura nodded with reassurance. "Hai, Sasuke-kun.." She then beamed, leaning closer to him. "Thanks to you. I'm glad you arrived when you did, I don't know what I would have done if..." She trailed off, biting her inner cheek as she gifted Sarada a look if distress. Just thinking about it made her stomach churn with unease.
"Don't think too much on it, Sakura.." The Uchiha broke past her insecurities. "Let's just settle back home and let everyone know that you and Sarada are safe."
Home.
"Are you back for now, Sasuke-kun?" She couldn't contain the curiosity. It had been months since she's last seen him, and having him back not only made her feel more at ease, but indescribably happy as well. Sasuke looked the same, only his features were no longer rigid and cold, nor did his eyes glint with a madness they once harbored. He was simply Sasuke.
Her Sasuke.
Again his hand lightly caressed the small girl in her arms; the gesture was small, but it spoke volumes, and Sakura couldn't contain the light excitement that surged through her. "Yes, for now.." He paused for a moment, eyes still resting on Sarada's wiggling form. "She's so much bigger now."
His words had a laugh bubbling up from Sakura's throat, unable to hold back the glee she was feeling. Ignoring Sasuke's furrowed brows and frown, she hoisted Sarada up well enough so that she was between both mother and father. "Well, she just turned seven months, Sasuke-kun." Sakura explained in a light tone. "You've been gone for half a year, you can't expect her to wait for you in order to grow."
"It seems I was gone longer than I had anticipated.." Sakura didn't miss the change of tone in his voice, seeming slightly unsettled with the fact.
Unable to see him in such a state, the young woman reached up and lightly stroked the back of her hand against his jaw, leaning up to whisper softly. "Don't.." She breathed, giving him a look of understanding and warmth. "I know what you have to do, and it's okay. Just know that you have a family to come home to."
Wordlessly, the Uchiha gave her a faint look of gratitude, and she noticed the way his shoulders shifted slightly as the tension left them.
Another smile graced her lips as she tilted her head upwards in search for a kiss she had longed for in the past six months. And as Sasuke slowly dipped his head to oblige, Sakura couldn't wrestle down the flutter that erupted within the pit of her stomach.
His lips parted, her eyes closed...
"Ow..." He spoke, breathing across her lips as Sakura blinked in quiet confusion. Regaining her focus, she suddenly snorted out a laugh as she witnessed the way her daughter had grabbed a fistful of her father's hair.
"Ba!" Sarada squealed, tugging with enthusiasm as Sasuke grunted in displeasure.
As she tried to help her husband out of their daughter's grip, Saskura couldn't help but happily announce, "Welcome home, Sasuke-kun."
And there you go! Like I said, this fiction piece has no concrete plot! Just a story of drabbles and one shots concerning the Uchiha family. Read and review, please? I'm trying to regain my muse for writing. ^^
