Hi. This is my first fanfic and it started when i dreamed chapters 3 and 4. Enjoy!

Chapter One

The Fair

"Please, Max?", begged the Gasman. "We really want to go." Angel, Nudge, Total, and even Iggy nodded in agreement.

I looked at them one by one carefully while I thought. Have fun, Max. Said the Voice. "Well, okay. But just for 30 minutes." We slowly lowered to an ugly, dirty, dark alley, where we landed. We tucked in our wings and I led the flock out of the alley to a fair full of excited people. "See that clock?" I said as I pointed to a clock tower in the middle of the fair. "When it says 3:30, meet right back here." I looked to Angel. "You stay with someone, okay? And no freaky mind tricks." I returned my gaze to the rest of the flock. "I'll take care of snacks and drinks. Have fun!" I said in a slightly sarcastic tone.

I headed over to the strength tester thing just to mess with people. When it was my turn to hit the platform with the sledge hammer, I pretended to be using my full strength, but I wasn't. The puck didn't even go a quarter up. Everyone laughed. Since 50 cents bought two turns, my second try I actually hit the platform. All the buff guys watched in amazement as the puck hit by the small 14 year old girl flew up and hit the bell. My prize was a mini sledge hammer, a copy of the one used at the booth. How convenient. I walked over to a bench and sat down. I saw Angel, Total, and Gassy over by a water squirter game. Gassy was playing (of course he was), Angel was trying to 'convince' the man at the booth to give her small dress that looked like it would fit on Celeste (I told her no mind games!), and Total was chewing on one of the prize stuffed animals. Speaking of Total, he hasn't said much all day. I'm a little worried. At another side of the fair, Nudge was sharing her life story with the Weight Guesser, hopefully leaving out details. Iggy was practicing feeling colors under an umbrella by the Snow cone Booth. I was snapped out of my snooping when Fang sat down beside me.

"Hey." He said.

"Hey." I said back.

"Ten minutes to go." he told me.

"Yeah. I'm going to go buy snacks now. Round up the flock for me." I walked over to the corn dog stand. The sign said $1, so I pulled out $6 and bought one for each bird-kid. As I walked back to the alley, I was stopped by a police officer. "Yes, Officer?" I asked.

"Please put the money you owe the corn dog man on his booth, or I'm afraid I'll have to take you with me." Something about the officer bothered me. He didn't talk like policemen do.

" I'm sorry, I don't seem to understand. The sign on the booth says one dollar and I wanted six, so I paid six dollars." I realized it wasn't an officer a tad too late, when he started morphing into a wolf-man. I punched him the face and tripped him at the same time. As he fell, he turned human again. People thought I had assaulted an officer. More Erasers surrounded me. I jumped in the air and spun with my leg out and kicked most of them down. There were about six more "officers" to go. One tried to grab me, but I rolled under him and punched him in the back. Two tried to approach me from either side, but I elbowed them in the face then kneed them in the gut. They fell backwards. Then, one in wolf form jumped at me. I kicked it in the stomach, but I felt sharp claws on my wings. I turned to look at them. They had huge cuts shaped like T's, one on each wing. In my distraction, one in human form punched the side if my skull and knocked me down. I felt myself loosing energy, air, and consciousness. The last thing I saw was the last Eraser looking down on me.

The last thing I thought was about the school.

Thanks for reading! I will probably update soon. I have most of the story planned.
