A/N: Had an idea inspired by someone pointing out that the guy in the background looks like his fondest wish came true in a .gif of the olympic swimmer proposing to his girlfriend. The plot bunny that formed wouldn't stop biting at my ankles.

"Kurt Elizabeth Hummel, will you marry me?" the guy with an adorable bow-tie-patterned scarf and gel-slicked black hair proposed on one knee to his (presumable) boyfriend in Times Square, New York City, New York on New Years Eve, just as the ball dropped to signify it was now New Years Day, 2017.

The young-looking doe-eyed brunette wearing a bright gold scarf standing next to him looked so happy even through his sudden tears, he just ending up tackling the man in front of him without answering, crying into his neck.

"Kurt?"

"YES! Yes, I'll marry you, Blaine Everett Anderson!" Kurt laughed into his (now) fiance's ear before he began to pepper the man's face with kisses, neither of them having made it off the cement floor.

A few of the people huddled near them offered their own congratulations before they joined in celebrating New Years with the people around them. One person in particular was clapping with tears in her own eyes.

"Oh, you guys are adorable! Kurt and Blaine both fit you perfectly!" she shouted to be heard over everyone else, who were doing the same thing for different reasons. "Can I hug you two as your first congratulater?" she asked loudly, ignoring the fact that she wasn't the first to do so. "It's just, you took look a lot like people in my favourite TV show, so this is just even more adorable than it already is!"

The newly engaged couple shared a look (very sappy, since this was the first to say anything but congrats to them, and, well, they were newly engaged) and both nodded their agreement. They had no idea which show the woman (who looked to be in her late teens, if not already twenty) was talking about.

She gladly hugged them both.

"Monique Lawrence," she introduced herself. "Just, really, this was adorable, there's no other way to describe it. Can I ask how long you two have been together?"

"Five years and nine months," Kurt answered, smile on his handsome face, arm wrapped around Blaine's middle.

"And eighteen days," Blaine completed, eyes on Kurt's face, smile spreading across his as well.

"Wow, so long? Congrats, again. You two deserve it."

"Say, which people did you say we looked like? I've never had someone say we looked like anyone on TV before," Blaine asked Monique curiously.

"Oh, just this show called Glee. I can't recall the actors' names, but you're practically body doubles for Chris and Darren."

"You hear that, Kurt? We look like famous people, already." The two laughed.
