Hey there! I know already that there have been many many people that've written things like this before (so nobody needs to message me to say that since I know), but I decided that I wanted to try at one too. I've been really tired lately and have had trouble coming up with new ideas for fanfiction stories, and so I figured that this would give me something to work on until I could come up with a new one. And so, please send in your requests! I'll write realistically almost anything, but my request is that you try to keep it only to ships and such and not just the friendship requests (though I will do friendship requests if you ask really nicely, haha). Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Pairing: Fiolee
Song: Got Me Good – Cody Simpson
Requested by: Me (I heard this a little while ago and it hasn't gotten out of my head since, so it's a good start!)
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Marshall Lee and Fionna had been together for almost three whole years, much to Cake's dismay. Though, after Fionna had gone through so much grief and heartbreak chasing Prince Gumball around for most of her teenaged years, she was at least happy for the girl that she had found someone that was so obvious enamored with her, that she had strong feelings for as well. The duo was together for their (early) anniversary at the beach, sitting underneath Marshall's umbrella as they watched the sun set.
Fionna stretched her feet out, wiggling her toes in the water before she smiled and leaned back against Marshall. He smiled softly and kissed her forehead, to which Fionna laughed slightly. "Alright, alright cheeseball," she laughed, which Marshall smiled at. "Hey, why don't you stick your feet in the water? The umbrella covers us enough that you can."
"I'm enjoying myself enough as is," he said, with a slight smirk, and Fionna laughed.
"I feel like you aren't, though," she laughed. "You haven't done anything other than kiss me and stare at the sun for the whole date."
Marshall smiled innocently, and she sat up and turned to look at him. "How about I sing you a song, instead?" he said.
Fionna laughed, which made Marshall smile innocently again, and she knew already that this was going to be a cheesy song that he would probably make up as he was going along. But, those were the ones that she enjoyed the most. He reached over her and took his guitar before he started strumming softly.
"You… I… You…
I like this right here…
'Word on the street is that you're single,
So, baby, have you heard my single?
It goes la-di-da and hits like a cymbal
I drew a heart with my finger on your window,
Fionna laughed, reminiscing the times that she had woken up and discovered the countless hearts drawn into the frost on her bedroom window in the morning after there had been frost. At her smile, Marshall grinned and continued.
Even with your hair up, you're what's up?
Even in your sweat pants, you're what's up?
Even when you wake up without any makeup, I'm in love!
'Cause I'm so tired of the same old thing,
Imma need something new in my life.
Yeah, 'so tired of the same old games
It's time I start fitting right,
It was Marshall who smiled at those lyrics, looking away for a woman as he thought about his girlfriends that he had had before Fionna. Most of them had only dated him to say that she was dating the Vampire King, or in an attempt to become the Vampire Queen – but Fionna was different. She liked him for him, Vampire King or not.
'Cause you got me good, girl
I feel so good, girl
You got me good, and you know that I need you so bad.
You said you're talking to your ex-boy,
Well just remember he's your ex-boy.
Well, maybe I could be your next boy?
And just remember that you're better than the rest, so baby what's up?
Fionna and Prince Gumball had had a short relationship before she and Marshall had gotten together, but Marshall had known he had feelings for Fionna long before then. He knew that Fionna and Prince Gumball had always had an on-and-off again relationship, though, as Gumball never knew that Fionna would actually eventually leave, and so when Marshall was trying to win her emotions he had always had an uneasy feeling when they would start talking again – he had never known if that meant they would be getting back together, and his chances would be ruined, and those fears really only did disappear when they started dating each other.
Even in your work clothes, you're what's up?
You know how to work well, girl, what's up?
Girl, you got me lost in your eyes, I'm in paradise, what's up?
'Cause I'm so tired of the same old thing,
Imma need something new in my life.
Yeah, 'so tired of the same old games
Yeah, it's time I start fitting right.
'Cause you got me good, girl
I feel so good, girl
You got me good, and you know that I need you so bad!
I wanna know what it feels like
To run my fingers through your hair.
I wanna know what drive you wild
'Cause baby we could drive it there
Tell me that I'm dreaming
No, I don't wanna wake up
Ooh
'Cause I'm so tired of the same old thing,
Imma need something new in my life.
Yeah, so tired of the same old games
Yeah, it's time I start fitting right.
'Cause you got me good, girl
I feel so good, girl
You go me good and you know that I need you so bad!
'Cause you got me good, girl
I feel so good, girl
You got me good and you know that I need you so bad…
So bad."
When he stopped singing he looked back up, looking to Fionna for approval. She laughed and leaned forward, kissing him, and he grinned. "It was lovely," she said.
I hope you enjoyed, and please send in your requests! Thank you!
