My name is Amelia Pond. And this is the story of how I lived.
Every little girl dreams of a hero who will come and save her. When I was 5, my hero
came. He called himself "The Doctor".He was there, but then he left. I waited and waited and
waited, but he never came.
It was 12 years later and I was grown. I had given up on the idea of my "Raggedy Man"
coming back. I had convinced myself that it WAS after all a child's fantasy. After years and years
of waiting, I had let go. But then he came back and he hadn't aged a day. He said he had a
machine and could travel time. That he really did mean to come back. He saved the Earth. He
saved all of our lives, only to leave again. 2 years passed. I got engaged to Rory. Then, the night
of my wedding, my Raggedy Man came back.
We went on some many adventures together in his dark blue Police Box. Glorious, exciting adventures. We saved a star whale. Traveled through time and space. Fought the Weeping Angels, battled Daleks, and rebooted the Universe. And then I married my Rory. The man who waited 2,000 years for me. Protecting me, watching over me, loving me.
We traveled in space, to different worlds. In TIME even. We did all these wonderfully amazing things. But you want to know the best part? It wasn't the excitement and fun, all though we did enjoy it. The Doctor taught us how to live, I mean, how to REALLY live. We made a difference in peoples lives. Just as he had made a difference in ours. He helped us see what living REALLY is. It's about helping inspire people, loving, caring, helping. And the most important thing was, you are important. YOU matter, and you can make a difference. Whether it's helping inspire one of the greatest painters that ever lived, or simply telling someone how much they really do matter. You can make a difference. And also that no matter how unlikely it may seem..good always wins in the end.
So, Raggedy Man, where ever you are..know that we love you and think of you often. And thank you. For showing me how to really live. And for giving Rory back to me. And where ever you are, don't travel alone. You shouldn't ever travel alone.
