006. Day
Harry and Severus had been secretly dating for eight months now. Harry was head-over-heels in love with his teacher and Severus absolutely adored his almost-legal student, though he'd only admit that out loud to Harry and Dumbledore; and then he'd only claim that he was in love with the Gryffindor.
Though they had only been romantically involved for less than a year, they'd seen each other on a daily basis for years. Once they had gotten past the early stage and got used to being together they had both realized that they couldn't live without the other one.
Thus the reason for Severus' current predicament. He knew he couldn't go through his life without Harry Potter, and he hoped that Harry felt the same way because he couldn't imagine his Harry being with anybody else.
It was break and Harry was one of the five students that were staying at Hogwarts. Harry was currently the only one on the grounds; he was standing against the same tree that the Marauders had once sat by, looking at the sun's reflection across the Great Lake. He would soon be joined by another person. It really is a beautiful day today Severus thought as he walked out of the Entrance Hall to join Harry by the lake. He walked up behind his lover and slid his arms around the Savior's waist. Harry turned around and embraced the spy. After they had pulled apart Severus stepped back and pulled out a nondescript, small box out of his pocket. He opened it and pulled out a simple, white gold ring out. He took a deep breath and got out, "Will you bond with me?" Harry touched the band and looked up at Severus. The Head of Slytherin thought that Harry's smile lit everything within the wards of Hogwarts up. "Yes of course," his fiancé breathed. He slipped the ring onto the third finger of Harry's left hand and no sooner had he did that he found himself tackled onto the ground, his neck getting attacked by a pair of lips. Yes, he thought, today really is a beautiful day. He then proceeded to put his lips onto those of his soulmate.
