"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Carnival Corpse!" I heard a voice yell forcing me into a sitting position. "Today we have our champion Crow!" The voice yelled again making me scramble onto my feet and look around wildly. I saw that I was in what looked like a giant bird cage and had glass in between the bars making me think that we were imprisoned. Other than that I saw what looked like apps on the sides of the glass talking. I'm going to guess those are just voice monitors and not real people stuck in apps. "And the new comer Foxy! Don't let her looks fool you! Her fighting technique can kill you with one hit!" the voice yelled again right before something forced me out of the cage I was in.
"You guys want me to fight this kid?" A gruff voice asked making me look across the bird cage to see a very tall looking teenager wearing only cargo pants, an ankle length coat, and an eye patch. "At least you can tell why she's called Foxy first thing though."
"What-what's going on, where am I, Who are you people?" I asked quietly getting up and into a kneeling position.
"Oh and here's a twist for today's Carnival Corpse, and you might want to listen up Crow. Foxy doesn't know what she has or where she is." The voice who spoke before said making sure you could hear his smug grin.
"So you're telling me you're making me fight a kid who doesn't look older than 5 who doesn't know about the branch of sin or anything?" Crow asked watching as I got up and turned my back to him which was a huge mistake. I nodded trying to calm my racing nerves when I felt a shift in the air. "MORE FUN FOR ME THEN!" I had to duck to get away from his knives of… BLOOD?!
"What's going on?!" I yelled on the verge of crying. I jumped up and into the fake tree that was in the bird cage.
"We are Deadman and we have the branch of sin, we can bend our blood to our will, some easier than others." The Crow said smirking as he saw my face go white thinking that I was starting to fear him but no at the time I was fearing myself. I'm a monster just like mommy and daddy said! They were right, I thought they were doing those things for no reason. That's why they preferred to use weapons to hurt my skin instead of their bare hands, they didn't want to touch something as sickening as me.
"So that's why mommy and daddy liked to hurt me. It wasn't for no reason? I don't deserve to be called their daughter." I said quietly voicing my thoughts and slid down the trunk of the metal tree I was in just as everything started falling making me get buried into the metal and making me immobile.
"And the winner of this fight is Crow! Watch later folks to see the punishment round for the loser!" The voice yelled seeming happy that someone lost and that people can lose their lives here. How can they be all happy smiley why a five year old girl could have lost her life? I thought as I laid underneath the rubble of the metal tree knowing that I wasn't going to be able to lift the metal up by myself. I could feel it slowly crushing me but I didn't care all I cared about was that I was a monster that no one would want to love me or want me in their family again.
"Hey kid, stop pretending and get out of that rubble." I heard Crow say but didn't answer afraid that he was going to laugh at me when he heard that I couldn't. I suddenly felt a burning sensation in my lunges leaving me with the knowledge that I was suffocating. "Kid do something to let me know that you're not dead."
I tried to tell him that I was fine but every time that I tried to open my mouth to answer I only wheezed out a breath but I can't gain any. I suddenly could breathe again but every time I did it hurt. I sat up on my hands and knees coughing out blood. "Thanks." I whispered quietly making him laugh again as they put me on a stretcher and took me out of the cage.
"Don't be thanking me yet." Crow said smirking as he watched me exit the birdcage on the stretcher.
