Sometimes Edward just didn't understand anyone else.

Why the hell would they look up so high when they were talking to Alphonse was one thing he didn't understand. Another was why people looked at them like they were freaks when they walked down the streets.

Yeah he could understand he had automail but he usually covered it up, so no one should be able to see it.

And why the hell did people call his little brother a freak? There was nothing freaky about him! He was perfectly normal!

They had just been asked to leave a diner where Edward had knocked out a guy. He deserved it though; he had been one of those assholes who called his little brother a freak.

"I don't think you should get that carried away brother." Alphonse said, as they walked down the street.

Edward stretched his arms before gathering them behind his head. "He deserved it Al. I regret nothing."

Glancing over he saw his brother smile brightly at down at him. He felt a twitch go through him. Al was still taller then him.

"Thank you for defending my honor but maybe you went a little overboard." he suggested his eyes shining brightly.

Ed shrugged. "When it comes to you Al, it can never go overboard." he said.

Al laughed slightly. He grinned at Edward. "So tell me. How many places are we not allowed to go now?"

"Meh I lost count."

"So did I brother."

Al closed his eyes as they walked down the street for a moment before he said "We never did get a change to grab a bite to eat there. So where in East City are we still allowed to go to?"

Ed punched his arm lightly, why was there a metallic clank when he did that?, and said "Don't be such a wise ass Al."

Al rolled his eyes "I'm trying but you make it so easy brother."

Edward snorted. "That café on Main Street. We're still allowed there."

Alphonse stuck out his tongue at Edward. "Race you there then." he said, before he took off.

"Hey!" with that shout Edward followed Als path with the cries of "Cheater!" but he wondered something.

Why was every step Al was taking making such a big clang against the ground?

This is what I believe Ed really sees when he looks at Alphonse. His little brother whole and complete.

Just a short little oneshot.

I do not own Fullmetal Alchemist.

This is Phoenix-Fire Power over and out.
