Author's Note: Didn't you all love Heist Society? I did! I just couldn't not write a fanfic about it!

Cold wind swept throughout the town and snow fell in large snowflakes. Hale was sitting on a couch in the living room with Kat's legs sprawled on his lap. Neither seemed to be paying much attention to the movie playing in front of them. As Hale studied Kat, he deduced from her expression that he was in a thoughtful mood.

"Hey, what're you thinking of?" Hale asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

Instead of answering, Kat got up and held her hand to Hale. He took it without a thought and followed her to the door.

"Let's go on a walk," she said, grabbing her sweater off the coat rack and waited as he did the same.

The air was windy and snow was falling on their heads, but with Kat's arm in his, he couldn't think about very much. She always had that effect on him. The crawling-into-your-life-until-you-can't-think-around-her effect. And he loved it.

He wiggled his fingers away from her firm grasp, immediately feeling the coldness on his formerly warm hand. Slinging his arm around her shoulder, he brought her closer to him, reveling in her warmth.

"Do you remember, before the Henley Heist… and you were talking about Nick and I told you that-", she whispered, cut off by Hale's voice.

"-That I wasn't part of your family?"

She's surprised out how bitter he still sounds, but then realizes that she shouldn't be. He had no real family, but always thought of her family as being his. And then with a few words, she had crushed his thinking.

"Uh, yeah. I was thinking about it and I'm sorry. You are part of my family, and I was wrong and stupid." She pulled out of his grip and turned to stare into his eyes.

"You don't have to say that-"

"Yes, I do. You are family, Hale. As much as Hamish or Angus or Simon or Gabrielle or me. You are family. You're part of my family," Her voice grew stronger. He had to understand that he was always a part of her family.

He smiled; not a smirk like he usually had on, nor a grin. It was a smile that spoke his feeling, the ones that he could express with words.

"Come on, Kitty Kat, we're both cold and I'm sure Marcus has some hot chocolate." With that, he slid an arm around his waist and pulled her to him. She leaned her head against his chest and gave a long, content sigh.

Author's Note: So I'm not too sure on how that went. Uh, please review, and also tell me if you'd like this to be a drabble collection. Thanks! :)
