"Movin' on," Her breath catches in her throat as he comes closer, his hand suddenly cupping the side of her face. The touch is electric, and without thinking, and she melts into his arms and into his kiss. For minutes that feel like hours, the whole world falls away, and they're just a boy and a girl, falling in love. She pulls away slowly, the cold air, and the loss of his lips on hers, hitting her like ice.

"What are we doing?" She asks, unable to let fully him go, a giggle escaping her lips at the absurdity of it all. His breath mingles with hers, as he laughingly responds "No idea," and pulls her closer once more. I can't get over this, she thinks, laughing, only to find him laughing as well. "We need to talk about this." Once the words are spoken, the step is taken, and there's no turning back. And suddenly, though she's only a few inches away, the distance seems greater.

"I know," Her murmurs, his voice like honey, a little laugh tinting his words. Inwardly she sighs. This is so not right…she glances up at him, the emotion darkening his eyes, those perfect parted lips…

"Maybe…we should just keep it to ourselves, for a while and see what happens." There. They could be secret…something or other. She expects to see apprehension in his eyes, even anger. Maybe that was the kicker.

"Meet in mop closets?" He asks, leaning forward a little. "Pass each other secret notes in the hallway?" At his response she is unpredictably, unexpectedly relieved. It isn't over yet, he doesn't hate me again-oh. Secret notes? Lilly? Oh god. "Come on." She hears his voice through the rushing in her ears, and she weakly smiles up at him. He rests his forehead lightly against hers, and it soothes her for a moment. "I'll drive you home on the backstreets." He takes a step back, but at her glance, is near again, his warmth surrounding her. They share a glance before her gestures towards his car, and opens the door for her. As she sits in wait, a memory, long hidden comes to mind. The spy pen. All of Lilly's lovers…out of all of them, whose message had been the last one sent? What had happened to that pen? The badass standards, 17 cents, a couple condoms, a pen…oh no. Not…Weevil? "You Ok?" Once again, Logan's voice permeates her reverie. She nods up at him, smiling.

Author's Note: A friend of mine wrote a version "the missing" car scene, from episode 1.19, "Hot Dogs", and it got me thinking that I could do that myself. However, I find that I can't, so I wrote this instead. I'm thinking of doing them from my favorite V/L scenes, but I don't know yet. I was also toying around with doing this same scene from Logan's perspective as well, but I dunno. We'll see what happens.
