V.E.: First time writing for Yugioh. Inspired by a picture on Deviantart. Oneshot. Enjoy.

Seto's eyes opened slowly as he began to carefully get out of his bed without waking those two up.

He realized how much he had changed since he was in high school, from the cold person who cared only for power. Back then, he thought the only person in this world he would love was Mokuba and his company. He never thought about liking anyone else or being liked in return.

Let's just say if his present-self went back in time and talked to his past self, said past self would have laughed and thought said future was impossible. Also being another one of the cheap magic tricks Yugi and Ishizu set up.

His past self also would have punched him for his somewhat friendship with Yugi Moto. and Yugi still annoyed him a little, but he had to admit over the years Yugi was not that bad.(Not that we would ever admit that to his face. He had a reputation to keep up.) They weren't close friends persay, but they weren't enemies by a long shot.

Jounouchi was still a dog and annoyed him like nothing else. Pegasus was under the same category.

After a nice hot shower and a change of clothes, he went back to his bed and gazed tenderly at the two there, still asleep.

The first was a pale skinned woman close to his age with equally pale hair. Her eyes, though closed, were the bluest sapphires he had ever seen. She was the one that saw everything about him and stayed by his side regardless. He never thought he would meet someone like that besides Mokuba. Someone who didn't want his money, but him. Needless to say, she looked like a goddess when she slept.

Untop of her, was a child that was in every way his mirror image when he was his age, though Seto thought he inherited his mother's calm blue eyes. He was also clutching a stuffed Blue Eyes White Dragon with the same sleepy expression his mother had right now. He had come into the room crying, saying he had a nightmare and wanted to sleep with them. Though at times the nightmares cut into the alone time with his wife, Seto enjoyed watching his son sleep with them.

Another thing that would have surprised his past self. He never considered marriage or having kids. That seemed more like Mokuba's future(who enjoyed his title as "Favorite Uncle," though his son pointed out to Seto that Mokuba was his only uncle). He assumed he would become a workaholic for the rest of his life and die(in the mutt's words) a sad lonely old man and as much a Scrooge as his stepfather was(he considered having Roland force the dog into a muzzle).

Now, looking at the two figures that slept on unaware of these thoughts, Seto couldn't help but think every day how lucky he was to have them.

He leaned down to his wife's forehead and kissed it before doing the same to his son before leaving the room to get his papers in order in his study and get ready for breakfast with his family.

V.E.: The stuffed blue eyes was my own invention. I'm sorry it's so short and if there's a problem let me know. I'd love to do more of these.
