(I DO NOT OWN DC)

Sara knew for a fact she was adopted. It wasn't hard to tell, short blonde hair, pale skin, blue eyes. Bruce was completely different looking, dark hair, and brown eyes. She shook her head to escape her thoughts, after all, it was the middle of the night.

Sara let out a bored sigh, knowing her father Bruce and her brother Tim were out. She knew about their secrets, who they were during the night. "When will Bruce be back?" She asked Alfred, who looked down at her, smiling lightly.

"Later tonight, Sara." He replied simply.

The bored 7-8 year old sighed, looking up the stairs. She was so... innocent. And curious. Until today. She rushed up the stairs, smiling, and Alfred smiled as he watched her. Her eyes darted around her, mocking Bruce as Batman, then jumped onto the wall, pretending she was in the shadows. She slowly slid down the hall to her fathers office, which she was never to enter. It was a cheesy horror movie cliche. Go in there and you die. Funny.

"Let's see what we have here." She whispered, mocking the Batmans voice. She in he'd her way towards the cabinet that held the many secrets she didn't know of.

She looked upwards at one of the boxes, spotting 'case files'.

Her interest was peaked, and she get onto her toes, her hand barely able to touch the box, but got it down with one hit. She was smart like that.

"What do we have here?" She whispers, puckering her lips as she skimmed through the box, reading the title of every folder. "Let's see here." She murmured in a childish way, mocking an adult. "Clay-Face, Dick Grayson..." she giggled at the name. "Harley Quinn, Joker-Sara's Case.." at that moment everything around her paused, blue eyes wide, she couldn't say anything.

And why was her name next to them? Out of every person. Maybe it was to organize. She managed to convince herself that.

She lifted up the case file, shaking, scared to even open it. She was both happy and horrified, knowing whom her parents are going to be.

She had to prepare herself, slowly flipping the page. And a picture of a mugshot of the infamous Joker stood there, grinning, his makeup smeared across his face.
