Fade In: Int. LSU Science Laboratory.

My name is Bryan Cochrane and I have a story that must be told. Its not like one you've ever heard before. It all started on my 25th birthday. Wednesday, November 23, 2005, started out normal enough for me, besides being my 25th birthday, it was also the day that the course of history would be forever changed. I awoke early that morning to head to the lab to pick up my notes from the night before. Upon arriving I saw something I'd never seen before. In the center of the lab was a big silver rectangle-shaped box. Taped to the side of it was a note from Prof. Steven Yates. Prof. Yates was a doctor of Quantum Physics. Now I know you may be thinking, Dr. Sam Beckett from "Quantum Leap," and you'd be right. Except he somehow found a way to improve on Sam's theory. With Quantum Leap you could only time travel within your own lifetime. Meaning say for me the furthest back I could go would be November 23,1980. Yates had found a way to time travel to any time. His note told me that the silver box was his time machine. He also explained that he had installed a panel that would be used to input your destination. I opened the box to look at the panel, and saw that the panel wasn't all that different that the one in the Delorean from the Back to the Future movies. I went back to the note, which he ended by telling me that I had been chosen to become the world's first time traveler. I figured why wait, its time travel. I could come back to this very moment no matter how long I spent in whatever time I traveled to. The only thing left to do, was to pick a destination. It didn't take me long before I decided on traveling back to June 1,1963. The reason was quite simple. Ever since I can remember, I've been fascinated and engrossed in the investigation surrounding the death of President John F. Kennendy. Secretly I always wished I could travel back and prevent the assassination from happening. However time travel only exsisted in the movies, until now that is. I hurried into the chamber and punched in June 1,1963, 8am on the Panel. I was about to close the door and press the button to start the machine, when I heard the door to the lab open. I looked out of the door of the time machine in time to see Danielle Andrews, the most beautiful girl on campus walk through the door.

Bryan: Danielle? What are you doing here?

Danielle: I forgot my notes yesterday. You?

Bryan: The same.

Danielle: What is that thing?

I was at a quandry. Should I tell Danielle that Yates had invented a time machine? Would she even believe me? I decided that telling her couldn't hurt as she probably wouldn't believe me anyway.

Bryan: Believe it or not, Prof. Yates has invented a time machine, and this is it.
