A/N: Don't ask where this inspiration came from. Lol. It'll probably just be funny and not all that long. I'm thinking about possibly doing this for Harry Potter and Real Steel. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 1: Odin and Thor
Rule 1: Do not make your son the king of Asgard, unless he has been banished to earth first, or in some cases, have Loki to be sly enough to create a distraction and ruin the ceremony.
Rule one is a very important rule to follow if you do not want your kingdom to be overtaken by a long-haired, arrogant demigod, who enjoys smashing cups and demanding for horses. In some cases, your long-haired, arrogant demigod [L.H.A.D.] might be reckless enough to go to Jotunheim and try to destroy the entire race. [See further chapters for dealing with the L.H.E.D. {Long-haired emotional demigod}] If he has succeeded in getting as far as getting to the Bifrost, you are a bad parent.
Here are some tips that might help you avoid this problem:
Do NOT even recommend making your L.H.A.D. king if you are sure he isn't ready. It is important not to get your L.H.A.D's hopes up by telling him in the past that he is meant for the throne. Also slightly applies to the L.H.E.D.
Do NOT even think about making your L.H.A.D. king unless he has been banished to Midgard first. Events that must happen there must include, but are not limited to; getting tazed by a tazer-happy Darcy, eating an entire box of Pop Tarts and still being hungry, smashing cups, demanding for horses, beating up S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, and falling in love with a scientist.
It is possible that your L.H.E.D. might also make a plan to ruin your L.H.A.D's ceremony. If he does this do not panic. Sometimes, your L.H.A.D. will need an extra push, and sometimes that includes having a couple of Frost Giants traipse through Asgard.
Warning! Letting your L.H.E.D. ruin the ceremony can possibly lead to extensive problems with him. He may be emotionally scarred for life, and/or turn into an evil, brooding villain who is labelled as 'Reindeer Games' to a certain Tony Stark.
An example of breaking Rule One is listed below-
Odin Allfather is sitting on his throne, waiting for his son, Thor Odinson, to approach. He is ready to crown him king today. He hasn't really thought about what his son is like. Thor is a perfect example of a L.H.A.D. He loves his hammer, Mjolnir, and he is too cocky for his own good. He thinks he is perfect and knows everything. Odin is a bad parent not to realize this about his son. Just as he is about to proclaim Thor king, Odin realizes that Frost Giants have invaded. If you look above, you will remember that a L.H.E.D. is the cause of the ruined ceremony.
In this case, Loki Laufeyson, is Odin's L.H.E.D. He is secretly adopted, and he is always in the shadows of his brother. He loves reindeer helmets and pointy scepters. In this case, his L.H.E.D. has saved Odin's rash decision of making Thor king, but Odin will pay later for some things he has neglected with his L.H.E.D.
Conclusion: Odin = BAD PARENT.
As always, approach this guide with caution, because it does not apply to everyone. If you are experiencing technical difficulties with your L.H.A.D. or your L.H.E.D, please wait for the next addition, because we don't have time to address all of your issues...
A/N: Yeah I know it's incredibly short, but it's not supposed to be long or like any typical story. It's just supposed to be like a guide. And yes, I AM making fun of Odin's parenting skills, because he really didn't seem to have any good ones in Thor xD I hope you don't think I'm bashing any of the characters, because I really like all of them. Especially Loki xD Hope you enjoyed! Pop a review if you have any comments/ideas.
