I don't own Camp Rock. This is just a little Halloween Fluff.

If you haven't read "Rose Garden", "Winning Roses: A Nate Drabble", "Sweet Tooth", "In Sickness and In Health", or "Painting Wild Flowers" and I would appreciate it if you did.

Please R&R!

Mitchie had always been a little jumpy. Easily scared by things that made a lot of noise or moved just a little to fast. It was largely attributed to the bullying she faced in school. Being called a freak, a loser, and everything under the sun, it was hard to face.

Some said that it was Shane who caused her to be jumpy. Because he moved fast all the time and usually caused everyone a great deal of surprise at least once a day.

Mitchie didn't like those people. They didn't know the kind and loving Shane who let her cuddle into his arm during movies that scared her. He didn't laugh at her fear of spiders and defiantly didn't question her extreme fear of mice.

So he wasn't surprised when Mitchie disappeared from their group when Caitlyn mentioned a haunted house. He held her hand the entire way home and didn't mention it once.

Shane understood what it was like to be scared of trivial things. Snakes, crickets, and the homeless man who always smelled like grapefruit in front of the studio.

He also understood the fear of death. Having to confront the fear that the people you loved might not be with you. He'd lost someone once, and though he'd left it open for Mitchie to ask about it, she never would. So he respected the unspoken wish that Mitchie had made.

But sitting outside of their home, Mitchie watches the neighborhood kids run from door to door.

"I was attacked on Halloween."

She just states it, like she's said it a thousand times and she probably had in her head. Shane just looks at her for a minute, deciding if he should speak, but Mitchie continues.

"It was in a haunted house. It was the year after my first summer at camp and I was volunteering at a local carnival. I was just taking tickets, but my friend Jenna wanted to go through the house. I didn't really care that much, so I went. But when I got in..." She stops and takes a shaky breath.

"Well... let's just say that while it wasn't pigs blood, I defiantly had a Carrie moment. It kind of made me nervous that they'd just reappear one day." She turns to face him and tugs on her sleeves. He doesn't say anything but takes her in his arms and just holds her.

They stand there for a minute and just let the wind whip around.

Finally she let go and hold him at arms length.

Shane smirks and digs through her candy bag, finally taking out a nicely sized piece of chocolate.

"Thanks for sharing." He says tapping her on the nose playfully, guiding her back into to the house.

"Maybe we could stay in next year? Have a small party or something?" He suggests.

"Shane Grey can have a small party?" She teases weakly, attempting a smile.

"It has been heard of... if the occasion calls for it... maybe..."

"Sounds perfect." Mitchie digs through his bag of candy and takes out a Twix before kissing him on the cheek. "I like sharing with you."
